"ADD FEEDBACK" facility shows in Sales Forums and PMs. I always leave fb on payment. Often I don't get a message to say received never mind fb. ROD

I get that Vince which is why I suggest selling on here. My experience is mixed. As I said US Ebay items seem to go IMO. Selling generally face to face is nothing like it was but then the reason often given is EBay. Selling on here is pretty good I think but it is rare to get more than one request for a particular record or big response to an auction item. May be everybody wants a bargain ? ROD

I wish more of you would agree with Chalky cos some f**ker is stopping me getting 45s at a reasonable price never mind bargains. Still in the main cheaper than buying in the UK and under "book" value. Gotta be bargain if less than the book. Er....... ROD

Having just looked through US Ebay I see bids on most items that are collectible, and often regardless of condition. I rarely come across decent 45s that have been "missed". No offence Vince but have you considered that some buyers may think starting price too high ? I bet if you started all at 99p it would be a different story. Pretty sure you don't actually sell on here. Don't remember seeing an ad recently. I'd give that a go. No EBay fees or final cut of the selling price. ROD

This is what happens when sellers remove info from ads contrary to recommendations in the Sales guidelines. It now looks like someone got a real bargain when in fact they didn't. Merged the two ads. Rules are 2 ads per day. IMO pointless splitting into separate ads as you have done with Barons and Holman.. Just list what you want in one ad. Yes I was thinking that too. More reliable than picking up the boots/re-issues. I'd guess that most prospective buyers wouldn't be on here so not really a plug for his ads and if it stops the odd person reading this bidding up to £50 + then probably worthwhile highlighting ? There are various tiles on Ebay like that Richard by same guy. Also noticed double-sided facsimiles but sometimes he gets the original label wrong. Think that's a different seller. ROD

And prior to that around 82/83 I'd cut him a copy off the tapes with I think "Love starved heart" on B so he may have played that too. ROD

It's not something you see everyday IMO and I think it does appeal to those of us who are older in that it was probably one of the first things we heard back in late 60's. My gut instinct when looking at JM's auctions is often to think what a rip-off but then John has built it up. He doesn't set the final price and if people are willing to pay at auction what some of us consider to be over the odds then I can only admire his business model. If there is a downside for John then it's about keeping the quality up. I don't think every record is an auction item so am sometimes surprised by his choices. It's Kevin "King" Lear at the moment.
