  1. Actually heard Whatcha You Done For Me, first as it was a Bob Jones radio play on Solar/Horizon in the mid 80's and I bought it on the back of that side. So getting Making My Daydeam Real on the other side was a bonus.

Its a bit of a nightmare as the numbering system is all over the place. I've got some form of listing at home I can post up when I return from work.
  3. How can this be a "discovery" it was in the Billboard Disco chart as a new release?

But handy to have if you need to go to the loo mid-way through your set.
  5. Don’t do it. You don’t want all that agro with dialysis and anyway you'd get more for a lung
  6. I've never considered it a rare record, issue or w/d, I just thought that dealers had it over-priced.
  7. It might be that I live a sheltered life, but i've never seen a real issue of this, only white demo's
  8. Bump, Bump..... Anyone?
  9. Okay, if its recently sold on the open market for $50 + postage, surely that's the going rate? It's not an unknown record and I would have thought pressed in significant numbers and there are quite a few listed on collectorsfrenzy in and around that price. It wasn't mis-spelt in the listing, was in the correct sales section and was amply described. Why now a week later is it now valued more.
  10. according to the listing it was a near minter...
  11. One sold on ebay last week for $50
  12. Sell the lot and spend the money here: https://www.hamiltonisland.com.au/beach-club-hotel-resort/
  13. Thanks but its not really in the condition I want.

I do think that many lister's on here initially put high prices on records on the hope someone is desperate for a record and then quite quickly list it slightly discounted if it doesn't immediately sell. Records are a luxury and in these times luxuries aren't a priority. The more realistic the price and quicker they will sell.
  15. Margie Joseph - Nobody/What you Gonna Do - Volt Issue only M- Please PM me with details of the condition and your fixed price, no requests for offers. Cheers, John

An if its in "black n white" in the book, then that must be "the real" value.......... Anyone wanna take £200 for the pair?
  17. RIP George. One of the greatest songsmiths of the 20th Century and without his music my life would have been a less soulful place.

For some reason my issue sounded different and pulled a copy out of Ian Clarks box at Yarmuff one year and we talked about it and he confirmed that its slightly different.
  20. When it comes to new releases if its on vinyl, I'm a sucker for it and have paid the extra few quid for it. But if the CD LP contains extra tracks and the vinly LP I'll plump for the CD and then the download. I am a bit of a dinosaur. I buy "retro" soul such as Lee Fields and Martha High, but i'm not a big fan of the "Fad-Type" singles that pop up from time to time.

if its not a real sleeve, how can you pay a premium for it?
  22. Looking at the web site they're only releasing a goldwax Rock & Roll single for Record Store day this year
  23. The other side's got a great version "Ain't Gonna Share Your Love"
  24. Have you tried them both together? I thinks its a great combination. Anyhow, back onto Linda Jones - PURE CLASS "When The Hurt Comes Back" doesn't seem to get mentioned that much and is a beautiful piece of soul
