ive got 3 boxes of black echoes in the roof, pretty much every one from 1984 - 89
  2. without wanting to open a can of worms about bootlegging, this track was originally played by richard searling off of a acetate which he had cut from stolen motown master tapes
  3. no, the one i'm talking about is the genuine white label one that gary got from john manship
  4. hi rich, guy couch & roger saint have been known to throw together some good sets in there time
  5. hi dave, hav'nt seen gary for over a year now, like i said, i'm pretty sure he sold it to richard, he got it from john manship, it was at my house for a couple of months, i can picture the label but, i cant for the life of me remember if it was a 10 or 12 inch
  6. what do you mean
  7. gary field used to have the original acetate in the mid 90's, cant remember if it was 10 or 12 inch, title was baby have mercy on me, it was a plain white label with typed & handwritten credits, if i remember rightly, he sold it to richard searling

the b side shares the same backing track as "do like i do" also by kim, only available on the uk 45 that came with a motown box set
  9. i think when you send a payment as a gift the sender gets hit for the fee, i could be wrong, but thats what ive been told
  10. the fact that tim brown has sold off a lot of his collection makes you wonder, does he know something we dont, as a dealer he's in a perfect position to see whats happening in the rare soul market place, maybe, with the currant recession & the other factors that have been mentioned here the bottom has started to drop out of the market, only time will tell
  11. its martin koppel in canada, tim browns anglo american partner
  12. one went through ebay last week £145
  13. BOOBY WOMACK ????? bet you feel a right tit now
  14. shouldnt this be in sales, wheres ken, KEN, KEN, THEY'RE DOING IT AGAIN
  15. most copies ive seen of brewster crew that ive seen, are in a very used condition
  16. there doesn't seem to be any logic to these demos, ive had a coloured demo on vinyl & a white one on styrene in the past, i also found that the stock copy on vinyl was slightly longer than the styrene stock copy, albeit by about a second,
  17. only kidding mate, senility comes to us all
  18. have you ever read your own book dave, because the coloured on on the cover clearly says audition record
  19. dont wipe your arse with a broken bottle
  20. sorry ken, you cant sell on here without a broker
  21. well if he's spending his comission on booze & whores, then thats alright,
  22. all sounds a bit dodgy to me...buyer says to broker i'm prepared to pay £700 for record, broker says to seller ive got an offer for £500, buyer accepts, hey presto broker pockets 200 quid, this is exactly the way gary field used to opperate, funny that, coz him & dewhirst are buddies
  23. total madness, its not even an old boot, made about 5 years ago, if you shopped around you could pick it up for a tenner, what makes this situation even madder is the fact that you can pick up both sides on originals for the price that this joker paid for this, in fact mick wad had a copy of the album which includes both tracks in his sales box last night for 30 quid. some people have more money than sense, bet the seller thought all his christmas's had come at once
