  1. Another couple of dozen bits added, all at low starting prices. Northern & modern. 1st lot end tomorrow night. I have 100% positive feedback. Tx for looking https://www.ebay.com/sch/phillydaveg/m.html?item=271069171871&pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item3f1cfb509f&_sop=10
  2. Some modern & Northern 7"s & a few 12"s up on evil bay. Including the The Jades "I know the feelin'", Louis Curry, Bobby Foster etc. + rare boogie of Tez Johnson and Jimmie Gray. https://www.ebay.com/sch/phillydaveg...=p2047675.l2562
  3. Have to disagree with that one mate. That is THE version for me and just about everyone I know, and was a big seller.
  4. Dare I ask why? I mean you'd end up with an illegal boot leg rather than the original?

Yes, it was unreleased as far as I am aware, until it saw the light of day on; "LOST AND FOUND — LOST WITHOUT YOU (1963-1970)" (2005 MOTOWN CD)
  6. It's from the Jap P-Vine LP "Brief Encounter with sweet soul music" released in 1988. Goes for about £100 - great lp
  7. Yes Jim it is.
  8. OK, I did a full US discography of all 12 Mighty Three labels from the outset in '65 up to 2011 for the PIR 40th Anniversary box set, including North Bay. Surprisingly Gamble & Huff didn't have their own label's discography! The 45s are all relatively easy to obtain. The Gordon Lowe LP is folk & usually goes for about $70-$100. The Louise Williams LP is rocking horse doo dah rare, and I can honestly say I've only ever seen the one copy (mine). It was however, released again in 1977 on the Phil. LA of Soul label. Anyway, this is the complete NB listing; North Bay Single Releases Prefixed NB 1970: 300 The Mellow Moods "Tell love hello"/"If you see him" 1971: 301 The Talk Of The Town "Little bit of your lovin"/"Tossin my pride aside" 302 Family "Family affair (Inst.)"/"Nation time (Inst.)" 303 Honey & The Bees "Jing jing a-ling"/"Auld lang syne" 1972: 304 Family "Do the robot (Part 1)"/"Do the robot (Part 2) (Inst.)" *305 Talk Of The Town "Don't be so mean"/"Accept me for what I am" * Releases on the black on white North Bay logo have the title misspelled as "Except me for what I am" 306 Soul Devalents "Grasshopper"/"This is our thing" 307 The Vibrations "Sneakin'"/"When will my turn come" 308 Little Dooley "(It's got to be) Now or never"/"Memories" 309 Executive Suite "I'm a winner now"/"You got the kind of love" 1973: 310 Louise Williams With Isaac Douglas And The New York Community Choir "Don't blame the children"/"Don't blame the children" 311 Love Brothers "Bop de do waw"/"Giddy-up" Album Releases Prefixed NB 1971 1001 Gordon Lowe "Follow the sound" ("Follow the sound"/"Give her my love"/"Dawn"/"Jenny's gone"/"Life of a river"/"Round and round"/"So sorry"/"Prisms"/"Turn over darlin'"/"Coming home") 1973: 1002 Louise Williams With Isaac Douglas And The New York Community Choir "Don't blame the children" ("God is love"/"To be young, gifted and black"/"Tobacco road"/"Tradewinds"/"The ghetto (Part I & II)"/"Reach out and touch (somebody's hand)"/"Don't blame the children")
  9. Whereas on 45s you get 4 ot 5? lol
  10. Yep, been waiting weeks for 2 packages. On the verge of givingup on them. Never thought of the Olympics.
  11. I can't help, but I like it!

Surprisingly dificult to find now. I was going to suggest discogs, but there's not one on there, or Gemm, or the evilbay at the moment.
  13. Ronnie Love about £150.

I'd feel the same as if I'd overheard that conversation and there were no kids present - what a bunch of w*nkers. As for the kids thing, if it's an adult venue (eg. club, bar etc.) then I wouldn't expect them to be present. If it were a releaxed all dayer in a pub garden then I don't see why not, providing they behaved, not much in the way of soulful youth clubs now I'm guessing?
  15. At a rough count I reckon I have somewhere near 1/4 million tracks including vinyl & CDs ranging from the late fifties to today, and I would say my knowledge doesn't even begin to scratch the surface, I bet I don't know 99.9%+ of stuff. The more you know, the more you realise you know sweet FA. That, however is the beauty of it, we'll never run out of tunes to excite us.
  16. Lol hadn't noticed Sutty, I'm off to my dusty shelves to have a look!
  17. Probably a later production run. It's not been re-issued on Just Sunshine that I know of. PS. The "Can you feel it" LP is fabulous.

Great double sider that is regularly in my play box. Still not too expensive, but on the way up.
  19. Nah, I've only heard it played at just about every soul do I've visited in the last few months.
  20. Looks quite nice, it like to know what the padding is like though, just in case.
  21. Luckily enough we did! Not only was he very intersting to listen to, he was also a true gentleman, a day that I'll remember for a very long time.
  22. Yes, he's the same Lazarus who did the soul LP on Midsong Int. in 77. He cut a few tracks on Federal (mainly soul remakes) in the late 6ts, I believe this one comes from 68. Last 2 on Ebay sold for less than $5.
  23. It's been bugging me because the box set kept reminding me of something. I figured it out today, it looks like a large box of John Player Special cigarettes circa 1980
  24. Excellent LP. Pretty sure there was never a 45 release, so it must have been edited. MAGNETIC TOUCH "FALLING IN LOVE WITH A DREAM" (1978 ALMERIA LP/) (Prod. Greg Carmichael) Best tracks - "Falling in love with a dream"/"Ain't gonna be a next time"/"Just in the nick of time"/"Let's make love"/ "Nothing to it"
