  1. I used to play this about 8 years (or more) ago at Solid Hit, at the time think it was getting plays here & there. Think i paid about £30/40 but yes was up around 10 at one point. These days ? No idea 🙂
  2. Seeing the Millage releases remind me, I was told many moons ago that every release had a different design (or colour) of label. Can anyone confirm or was my leg getting a tug ?
  3. He sang it live at Solid Hit (& i guess at his other UK dates) absolutely brilliant !

  5. That was the night before his first appearance at Solid Hit i think Mark when we went to China Town for a meal with Ronnie & Dave Brown & on to that club which was more like somebodies front room with a bar & a single mono record player for the music from memory. A great night with a great & friendly guy spinning stories of various recording sessions & who was playing on them etc etc. Such sad news, thanks for passing on Des. Thanks for the music & the very short time I was able to spend in your company. RIP Ronnie x

  14. Ah when I said play it this weekend i meant in my record room 😀 👍 Social media is a good reason to NOT play it out, I'll choose what I play & I don't play follow the leader 😉 Mind you only played out once in last two years so not too much of a problem there 😃😃😃

  20. Such a long time ago & my memory isn't at it's best but wasn't this on a Sunday with very little promotion (possibly put on at the last minute) & he refused to go on because there weren't many people there ?
  21. Popped into an electrical shop in Clapham Junction mid to late 70s, memory is shot can't remember exact year, one side of the shop sold radiograms, record players etc & for the life of me I can't remember what was on the other side but they had a small box of records, all ex chart stuff & stuck in the middle was a mint copy of Frank Dell He broke your game wide open for a quid. Where do these odd copies appear from ???? at the time that was Clarkie territory as well A few weeks later I popped back, the singles had gone but there was a box of Albums, full of crap of course ........... except for a mint copy on Okeh of Billy Butler Right Track album, can't remember how much but sure it was less than the Frank Dell.
  22. Larose Phillips Sure I saw one of these for £75 in the last week ? I was going to say never an auction item but its just made twice it's value
  23. Yes good sound, used to play this at Solid Hit
  24. They weren't at nights i was involved in however there are many that just don't care. Instant promoter/dj with a box of boots. Fortunately they don't seem to last long.
