  1. Yeah it's certainly a goodie Chalky, wouldn't mind one myself. Only heard it 2/3 years ago on a Wayne Hudson tape (i missed majority of the 80s ) Haven't seen Nick or Dawn for a couple of years at least. They seemed to drop off after Scenesville finished & of course their children were born & Nick was working shifts for a while. Think I recall somebody saying they had moved out of London although I think they DJd somewhere in South East London in the last year? Be good to see them out & about again Dave

Jesus make that 4-4! Susans is a pleasant enough tune if you're into 60 pop music, nothing wrong with that I like some don't want to hear it played out though. But how anyone can prefer it to Wades version is beyond me. Have another listen & tell me which one has balls ?.............I'm talking about the record!
  8. Really ? What was it called then ?

  11. At the last Solid Hit Soul somebody moaned & asked what I was doing playing Don & Ron at 9.30 in the evening as it should have been played later! As I was doing the early shift I didn't have any option (John!!!! )

  14. One of many ska/bluebeat etc that I gave away to a girlfriend early 70s thought it was on Island .........probably wrong it was a long time ago!!!!! Ha Ha pmsl just struck me, I wasn't saying I gave the records for
  15. Doesn't do it for me either, never has & I guess it never will
  16. Sometime soon you won't be able to find space on the dancefloor for this record !
  17. CamLikpanologyCampanology Like a Campanology Convention
  18. IMO if it exists on Vinyl then a Grapevine/Kent issue/bootleg/cd/MP3/DJ whistling the instrumental through the mic, can't be original vinyl...it has been released for the Northern market. Certainly nothing wrong with that I've many records of that ilk in my collection. I just wouldn't dream of playing them out How much more simple can it be ? If you don't agree with ovo than go ahead & play any kind of issue, putting my neck on the line legal issues aren't for lazy DJs they're to give some cash to the talented individuals who have recorded/produced /written the songs. Dave Solid Hit Soul OVO
  19. Brilliant record Des Parker used to play it, sure he can throw some light on it
  20. Mint minus copy 2 or 3 years ago but far too recent for me to remember the cost For every knackered copy there must be a decent one knocking around ?
  21. E+ copy from manship v early 80s £8
  22. Had a very distressed copy of this , picked up a mint minus for £50 at Prestatyn couple of years ago so stop spreading these scurrilous lies Gene
