  1. Yes off course it is I must have missed it....
  2. Revisited the list to check out some of those I didn’t know. Some cracking tune. i had forgotten all about Milton James on dore. Brilliant record. one I’ve not seen mentioned yet but was one of the best records played on many nights for me primers how does it grab you
  3. I found it on YouTube and have to admit I’d never heard of it until now. does appear to be NZ only.
  4. No that’s another one I’ve not heard that one seems quite odd ?
  5. Agree I’ve never considered this expensive always just a good cheap record. i think I’ve had all but one of her records and really rate her as an artist.
  6. Issue copies of this have a great flip.
  7. A great list a few others I love richard marks various tracks Speak now being the best ? barbara hall 2 on tuska fred knight on maxine jimmy church peachtree charles burns and jimmy Braswell on gene
  8. Fred Briggs is one of my all time favourite soul 45s I’d say that’s a bargain. i don’t think I’ve ever heard the uptempo side played in a club and it can’t have had much attention.
  9. I know..... sorry
  10. Probably a victim of its own success. I can think of far worse records. but only 2 people can really play this at venues seeing as jack white is unlikely to ever DJ at one.
  11. That was the 3rd copy the test press there was a large thread on here when it was found. maybe found is the wrong word. When the owners decided they wanted to sell is more like it. And made the collecting world aware they had it.
  12. Dancing wasnt the best. No backdrop, fast spin or high kick. all in time but very ordinary. according to my wife......
  13. A great name for an LP and 2 stunning tracks.
  14. Yes Mal here’s another and then small labels like forte and tuska have recycled backing tracks for various releases. lee Harris and marva Whitney both providing fantastic uptempo hard soul over the same backing of forte.
  15. It’s probably worth more than some of the houses in scunny. is that who bought it from manship or has it changed hands ?
  16. I can see the appeal of the track it’s very obvious and immediate I just don’t think it warrants grail status. i actually really like “I’m so happy” so it’s not the style of the 45 just the quality for me is missing.
  17. Got to agree its pretty average I’d hardly want to file this alongside flowers or natural impulse.

That’s a really tough one to find. Great deep soul. i notice a few on popsike relatively cheap certainly a lot less than the price I paid.

I would imagine it’s what the photos are that could raise a few eye brows. nothing to do with revealing any info
  20. its crazy I see stuff every month I've had in the fairly recent past going for very high prices. that dirk and Tony I bought as an oddball soul record for 20 or 30 quid.
  21. Great set the Eddie Parker is probably my all time favourite record. Soul perfection.
  22. an obvious one but a great oldie

Joe hicks another which comes with a great rare northern b side

There must be a few examples where a record comes out more than once and one of the variants is much harder to find and has a different flip. another rare example is love is not a stranger by j.p Robinson the rare local release having a great b side that does not appear on the easy to find national release.
