  1. Merry Christmas to all, wishing you all a very joyful, peaceful and soulful Christmas and New Year. Thank you Mike and all the team for all your hard work, it really is appreciated.
  2. The 100 Club in the 90's was for sure a great place to pick up rare 45's. I brought a Tobi Lark in the 90's for £40 and not long after the Masqueraders - How for £40, which was probably the going rate back then.
  3. Our sincere condolences to all, thank you for the memories, as Mark said, the real Mr M's.

  7. I remember a fantastic night at Wolverhampton Civic in the late 80's, I saw Martha Reeves, Marv Johnson and Jnr Walker. Incredible night, the atmosphere was electric. Jnr Walker was last on, they did the old James Brown thing where a guy comes on to tell him his time his up. He disappeared still playing the sax, you could hear the sound around the building and then he appeared through the back doors of the hall, he walked through the crowd who were still on their feet, clapping and cheering. There was a parting of the crowd as he went to the front still got down on his knees and played the sax, to a thunderous applause. Incredible, a night never to be forgotten.
  8. Ray Pollard - Prestatyn, truly awesome. The Volumes - Prestatyn, mind blowing performance and truly moving, especially when they sang Lady in Green and Heart you're made of stone. Gene Chandler - Stafford Edwin Starr - Casino.

  24. Keith loved raising money for Children in Need, each year at the Queens soul nights he would set his target of a £1000, I'm happy to say on many occasions he achieved way above his target. Come on folks this is achievable, let's do it for Keith, let's hit the target one more time. In memory of the man that was there right from the very beginning and dedicated his whole life to the soul scene.
