Withdrawn Uk Len Barry Lp
Hi, Don't want to interfere but...I think the scans of this album are on JM's Rarest of the Rare section. https://www.raresoulm...of-the-rare/L/1 I seem to remember this item on the JM auction (4 or 5 years ago?). ALso remember another member on here (not Johnny F!) paying about £1k for the Black label Brunswick one pictured above. This was also on th JM auction about a year (?) after the Bell one. So if anyone is after the album, the price to me seems in line with previous auctions. No offence intended to any of the poster's on here. Just hope that a 3rd party, independent comment might help. All the best.

Rufus Lumley - Stronger than me? Oopps - posted at same time!- Sandra Phillips "world.." Demo
Thanks for that Pete. Thought I'd check as the label looks a bit crude compared to the Issue.- Sandra Phillips "world.." Demo
Hello All, I've had this Sandra Phillips Demo for a while. I've seen a couple of issues for sale with a completely different layout (crediting a "JUGGY" production and "Div.of Sue Records"). I'm sure I've also seen an un-lined white demo, similar layout to the issue. This was bought from a very reliable dealer. Any thoughts? Cheers Kev Bod.- Freddie Scott - I'll Be Gone
Glad you mentioned this! I was also watching this item. Fancied buying it if it was dirt cheap. Thought it was crazy when bids went to $32 when AT THE SAME TIME you could Buy-it-now for $30 from CM. No criticism of the seller from me either. $200 plus . People are free to spend their money how they like I suppose. Kev Bod.- Blue Max Rip
Very sad news. Condolences to Max's family. One of those times you can't believe what you're reading when you first see this thread. I, like many who grew up around Wednesfield and Wolverhampton spent many hours in the shop. Firstly in the 70's. Always remember seeing that green MG that Max had parked outside. I bought a few of Max's records from the first time around and usually kept the cardboard covers as his writing was so neat! Quite proud of this "Cover-Up" with his writing on the sleeve that he played at the Cat's. Manny Charles indeed. He had originally put a sticker over it!- Shirley Brown Stax Uk Only 45
Here's my Brazillian that plays at 33 1/3 !!- Linda Jones - My Heart Needs A Break
Bought this a couple of years ago.- Detroit Question
Here's a Laurie Discog. Haven't read all of the previous longer posts. https://www.globaldog...o/l/laurie.html The Dynamics issue number on Laurie is 3627. On the Discog that number is allocated to a group called Hucklebuck and issued in 1975. Can't see the Dynamics on the list. Also, the sound quality on the Laurie version is crap/distorted. I'm no expert but all that points to it not being a legit 1960's thingy! Always makes me smile if I hear it out and the sound distorts - particularly at OVO venues. (Please Note: -No offence was intended in any of the above comments. Buyers/sellers should not rely on any information provided by me when making a purchase/sale. The value of records can go down as well as up. No animals were hurt in the posting of these comments.) KB.- Buster And Eddie

I watched this as well. Someone paid $305 in Jan 2008 and $92 in Feb 2010. Thought I was mising something!! Incidentally, about 18 months ago I saw he had a Wombat "Original" for sale at $300. I asked for a picture (as there wasn't one on at the time) just to check and sure enough it was the re-issue. I e-mailed to tell them and pointed them in the direction of a picture of a real one. They thanked me for the info and said they would inform the boss. It still remains for sale. https://cgi.ebay.com/WOMBAT-Im-Gettin-Life-rare-soul-vinyl-45-/310124619488?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item4834de26e0 P.S. - apologies if I have it wrong on the Wombat.- Ebay Seller Convicted - Could It Happen With Records?
Hi All I spotted this item of news and thought it would be of interest. https://www.thisismon...e#StartComments Wondered what experience folks had of it with records? DO you think it's OK? If you think it's OK would you be less inclined to do it or be a bit more creative? Would you mind if your suspected that it was going on but you were happy with the price of the record anyway? By the way - I'm not implying that anyone on here does this or having a pop at anyone, just thought it was interesting. KB- Collecting British...why Bother?

Will this do??- Earl Jackson On Lebanese Abc Label
Just checked. USA ABC - Earl Jackson - no. 11142 USA ABC - Eddie Holman (I surrender)- no. 11149 Lebanon ABC - Earl Jackson - no. 802 Lebanon ABC - Eddie Holman - no. 807 On that basis with the EJ coming out in USA 7 numbers before EH in the 60's, it seems to tie up with the Leb. EJ being 5 numbers before EH. Seems pukka but I wouldn't want it! (but I'd still like a USA one!) (I'll get me anorak on now and try to cop a few more train numbers and Eddie Stobbart lorries before bedtime)- Earl Jackson On Lebanese Abc Label
I'm sure Mick Holdsworth had one of those Eddie Holmans for sale a couple of years ago - I remember seeing it at the Connaught. Quite disctinctive memory as Sandi stuck it up her blouse at one point!! He was selling it for about £50 as I recall. Think you were there that night as well Pete. There was no rush to buy that one. The Earl Jackson is a bit different but I still wonder about 60's/70's thing and I'd be reluctant to put a wedge of cash out on it.
