THE ORWELL REUNION PART 2 - Haydock Golf Club 3rd Dec '16
Well that was something else!
Part 2 was completely different to Part 1 BUT in its own way, just as good!
We knew we didn't have the numbers from Part 1 so we partitioned the room off to create a great little space and what a night it was.
Musically i'd like to think it was bob-on even though i'm biased?
A proper up-for-it crowd who danced to everything we threw at them, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
I must admit, we were a little apprehensive in putting a final reunion on so close to the first one BUT I really think it was more than worthwhile.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to BOTH reunion nights. As already mentioned we won't be doing it again, so it'll go down as a unique pair of soulful events and two do's we are all proud to be associated with
Cheers

Hi Martin

Glad you enjoyed it

Will try and get together a playlist from the boys - there were quite a few people making notes on their phones and shazamming the tunes, so someone might remember which tune was before 'Big Mistake' - the fella from Soul Essence was Bob Cosby, who did play an awesome set (as always!)

Thanks again Martin

so glad you did part two , as I couldn't make the first event and it was wonderful to get a second bite at the cherry . great venue and the tunes were just as expected solid quality from all the boys [hope Sam doesn't mind being called a boy . [like that acetate that made its debut on the night a real builder ] brilliant night and a great reminder of how good the Orwell was  [ plus none of those pillars on the dance floor that I nearly knocked myself out on a few times at the original venue!
