As for his ashes I dont want to go into much detail as its for the Family to really sort out but I have instructed Husbands to Allow Tammy Percy's Daughter to Have them just like Thersa as asked me to do . As the money was collected specifically for Percy's family - and you say they are not at all well off anyway - I doubt if many would mind if you gave them the rest of the money.

Chalky - make sure you take some money to pay for all those transatlantic phone calls and whatever else it cost you, nobody will mind and you should do it anyway.

My Dad Percy Williams lost his battle to Cancer November 6, 2011 just shy of his 65th birthday on November 10th. He was very strong and ready to meet his Father and Savior. He didn't suffer much or he never complained of any suffering. The hardest thing in life is to loose a parent, child or grandparent.Take care of yourselves always and for all that contributed to seeing my father laid to rest I love and appreciate you always. Thanks for your many contributions, your love and your support.

Also, and of equal importance, this event shows how awful things can be, in the richest country in the world, if you are poor, or without work. America is an awful country, where the homeless sleep in tents, and people die for want of medical care, because it's a vast cash empire, where many people are crippled by the bills; some right-wing nuts even criticise our, as they call it, 'socialised medicine'.

With the passing of another artist, from the Rare Soul Scene , we lovers of this kind of music should always remember the prejudice African Americans faced (some of them even moved to the UK). The tracks we all love are wonderful artistry, produced in what, in many ways, is an awful country, which claims to be a beacon of freedom and democracy, but, frankly, is anything but.

Finally; I wonder of anyone's ever added up all the money paid for the records we've all bought, and that have been traded, since the start of the Rare Soul Scene; perhaps there should be a levy on these transactions, to assist the artists who produced these wonderful tracks(!)

That was a nice read until the ridiculous last sentence.

They already got paid when they made the record. Some got paid after that, some didn't. Luck of the draw, and not my responsibility, if anyone wants to pay me for work I did 30 years ago they are welcome.
