So , according to this expert:

"Issued as a promo only, never a stock copy (copies with orange & yellow swirl labels are fakes!)"

https://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649

Well, somebody paid a pretty penny for it, that's about £200 in old money ? I sold my promo for a lot less :( But I still have a stock copy :)

Fake Chris..................

There are Original issues, but they have the proper Capitol machine stamps in the run out grooves.

Original issues have the Daisy stamp and what looks like a machine stamped 1 in the runout groove.

Not all the issues are fakes!!! There are Original issues, but they have the proper Capitol machine stamps in the run out grooves. Original issues have the Daisy stamp and what looks like a machine stamped 1 in the runout groove. The early 70's look-a-like issue boots, did not have the stamps!

Also boots are big thick vinyl, originals are thinner.

:hatsoff2: HI ALL ....I have the green DEMO of JERRY COOK, in the past 1972ish I got the fake ?& the OOTP PRESS, Not sure if I have seen the official issue, but I am sure it exists, unlike my 70s quest for a copy of "thumb a ride" DEMO? :D DAVE K

For clarity's sake Jerry Cook was issued, same deal like Alex Patten.

  1. :hatsoff2: HI YES IT EXISTS, BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN ONE (FOR CLARITY) HOWEVER I HAVE HAD 3 SITOCK COPIES OF US CAPITAL ALEXANDER PATTEN WITH DAISY STAMP, OK! I HAVE MY UK RED & WHITE DEMO :g: DAVE K

it's from a different one - it's a fairly common name

I'd never have guessed that, thanks! :D

Thing is, how many of them are into Northern Soul and how many of those are on here?

I have come across two others into N.S. over the years.

This came up a couple of years ago :

The originals have the credits text higher, see photos. Good luck !

It wouldn't have been me because a) I never did that and b) I'm the only person who thinks that record is crap and I'd never have bought it

There were three or possibly four of us at one point but now...not sure

I have records with the name Pete Smith stamped on, and it's from a different one - it's a fairly common name
