Any roads, I'm still looking for some titles of 45's he was playing back in the mid 80's, I need half a dozen or so to complete a second podcast.

That was from Poke too - he liked it but felt the condition was too rough to play it out - a great track though!

 Nice to see Poke getting some long overdue credit, maybe you ought to start a thread solely dedicated to Poke, then Rich ?

He's still got a great DJ presence as witnessed during his cameo appearance in the Soul Bowl room at Prestatyn.

It probably was the first time out at Blackburn I would've been there too, not the UK though as I'd played it at the 100 Club.

I could do with a few more choice tracks, preferably some not featured before in the Stafford Story to add to the next podcast, some I can get a sound file for too

Wow i used to love his stuff id be on the floor all the way through his sets.

Remember he had Arin Demain for sale at the 100 club for 100 quid or something  i only had 50 so bought bobby sheen for 20

Great guy Jimmy,always kept his cards close,rarely expressed himself over tunes.lve known Jim since the 70ts if I remember Jimmy rarely attended soul night's if any in the 70ts,met up with him again late nineties at a local colliery.I at the time obtained a few Mp3 s with over 1000 + tracks on,Millionaires only groovesville stuff etc.Jimmy also had the same 20 quid.Briefly met Jimmy in a local Boozer soon after at the Anvil Mansfield Woodhouse with his cowboy boots & Stetson on.& believe it or not he didn't look like a Div.To this day I think he's still on the Fairground.
