I blame that Robin Salter,(even tho its probably not his fault). I played it at a disco thing in a local club recently and they didnt know it x

September 30, 200618 yr my modern-soul-loving buddy cannot see any reason why i love this track, at all, but it completely does me in any lovers / haters? Niether love it or hate it myself, its an OK kinda 80's dancer, but Mr Wu will always be a top man for me 'cos he wrote that nice Jean Carne song. Cheers Paul
September 30, 200618 yr Me, of course, like it. It's one of the best 80s dancer from Atlantic at that time. As well as Bridge, Ze-Brass, Deep... killer choonz for both boogie and modern crowds.
November 30, 200618 yr looooveee it! heard it for the first time about two months ago.. just know a few 80s songs like this.. if anyone can recommend me a few more please..? it would be great thanks! ana
December 2, 200618 yr So many of the big 80s boogie tracks, that many of us grew up with and loved at the time, are now beginning to sound dated IMVhumbleO ... However ... this one is still very popular with the late 70s/early 80s crowd ... ! Def. sits comfortably at the more classy end of that era ... ... with the likes of Gwen McCrae's (USA 12" version, not UK) of Keep the fire burning, etc. ... Edited December 2, 200618 yr by soultempo
December 16, 200618 yr my modern-soul-loving buddy cannot see any reason why i love this track, at all, but it completely does me in any lovers / haters? Absolutly love it. One of the better releases on Atlantic. Perhaps interesting to know... Larry changed his artist name into Larry Woo and formed the group Modernique in '86. A year later they released an LP (also reissued on CD in Japan 2-years ago) though the materials on the LP sound far from what Larry recorded in '84.
December 16, 200618 yr Stunning 8ts Soul Dancer that. Its on Kent's "So Soulful 7ts". Great CD compilation. Just picked up the 12" of Skip Mahoney and The Casuals- Running Away from Love. Anyone know it? Awesome tune

January 19, 200718 yr Just picked up the 12" of Skip Mahoney and The Casuals- Running Away from Love. Anyone know it? Awesome tune Not sure if it's the same on the 12" but personally prefer the album version, the intro of the LP version sounds smoother to me as on the 7" it has extra sax on it. if i get a chance over the weekend I'll upload the lp version for you

January 21, 200718 yr my modern-soul-loving buddy cannot see any reason why i love this track, at all, but it completely does me in any lovers / haters? How about Larry's lable mates .... Bridge " Baby dont hold your love back" Atlantic just as good IMO !!
January 22, 200718 yr Firstly, love the Larry Wu track, and absolute classic, picked my copy up about 5 years ago, it's the US 12" with instrumental on the B side, I believe the promo 12" has the short vocal version on the B side and was told this was harder to find. Also the Bridge track is another monster and deserves to be played again. I have the US 7" demo and UK 12", and it's on that so soulful 70's CD comp too which is fab.
January 22, 200718 yr Talking of Bridge, the previously unreleased LP that Fish put out in 2000 still sounds so good. So many killers on there Are they the same group as the Atlantic lot?
