Happy New Year to one and all.

The start of a new year means the start of a new photo thread. This is the 11th photo thread, which is rather remarkable and a testament to its continued popularity. Thanks to everyone who contributed pics last year, and thanks too to the many who participated by liking or commenting on images.

Here's a pic I took from our balcony a few days ago. The house opposite is being renovated and the builders put together some lights on the side of the house. It says "Prettige Feestdagen" in Dutch, which translates as "Happy holidays", or at this time of the year, "Merry Christmas". 

Here's to lots of great photos in 2023!

So, thank you for all the contributions - lots from some of my SS friends, the whole thread is fantastic. 🥰

This thread has been running for a few years now and I'm very pleased to return to see some stunning photographs.

Well, not a great photo, and certainly in no way as amazing as the other contributions. But, nonetheless, it is a photo. 😊

Here's my constant companion Ace, my rescue dog, and me. I've had him for five years now, and he's a real challenge still. This one was taken in the summer, just in the back garden. I still hadn't been out of the house much for over two years. I'm starting to venture out now, and drove for the first time since December 2020 recently. 🫣

I hope Russ is ok. His Show Us Your Great Photo's has been a stalwart SS freebasing thread for a number of years now and has featured some fantastic contributions. From stunning wildlife captures, to beautiful landscape and city photographs, portraits and everything in between. Many of the photographs are of professional quality and would not be out of place gracing the pages of high quality specialist publications. 

Check in Russ if you can - you are being missed.
