March 10, 201510 yr Author Many thanks to Dave Welding for the extra info on La Beat 702 mislabelled 45.  Info now updated.  Regards,  Dave
March 10, 201510 yr Absolutely brilliant read, was there at Prestatyn, they were superb, my only hang up was that Lee Jones was not there, god knows how they would have sounded if he were there. The description of "I'm an average guy" is perfect in this write up and sums them up exactly in my eyes, every soul fan should have one on their shelf  Kev
March 11, 201510 yr a 'highlight' move to aats forum for this great addition to the soul source hof feature hats raised to all the members involved in this featureÂ

March 14, 201510 yr Fantastic article as for the group well I have and will have a row with anyone this group were better than the Temps despite all the facilities that were laid on at Motown I think the Masqueraders vocals are tighter than most groups of that time
March 14, 201510 yr A great read on a fantastic group. I attempted an article and discography back in the day for Derek Pearson's "Shades Of Soul" - forget which issue! I remember research on them was very difficult at the time and was incomplete, the internet is a wonderful thing. American "Goldmine" magazine reviewed that issue of the mag and gave my article high praise which chuffed me to bits at the time.
March 28, 201510 yr HOW BIG IS BIG, Don't get much, no, nowhere near BIGGER.  What an insight to a fabulous, yet underrated (by the masses) group.  Could only identify 4 records from hearing at venues (Wand, Labeat, AGC? and SoulTown) Any more?  Fantastic read
April 9, 201510 yr A superb piece about an exceptional group, thank you. "How" was one of the first bunch of records that turned me onto soul music as a teenager and to this day, I still consider it a masterpiece.
March 15, 20178 yr One of the best groups never to have played on the main stage in Prestatyn seen them play two sets fantastic group - excellent article
