Just heard on the news Roy Ayers passed away on March 4th.

Great version of Flowers 'for real'

RIP. A very diverse musician, his music always has the 'feel good' factor.  A lot more Soul over the years than his Jazz-Funk labelling would indicate.

RIP Mr Ayers. So many great songs. Prolific live performer in the UK.

He's also been a big influence on Louie Vega and other House acts in more recent times

No idea what's young on at the moment......

So many sad losses, people who were part of all our lives.

When you grow up listening to the great music all these artists made, it brings home your own mortality. We essentially grew up with them.

RIP Roy Ayers along with all the others. Your music will always be part of me and I am forever grateful to you.
