The Orwell - Friday 28th December

Recommended Posts

We're getting a really good buzz on this final Orwell of 2007!

Shaun Robbins & Bob 'The Crate' Smith make their welcome return to 'The Home Of Soul' since their triumphant debut in April 2007 (as the first leg of the North Lancs Soul Festival)

We've had many messages of support and folks are dusting off their dancing shoes and getting down (or up as the case may be!) to sunny Wigan on the 28th December.

Here's the info you need-

THE ORWELL

It'd be great if we can get all the folks who've supported us in 2007 here on the one night to see off 2007 in fine style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BE GOOD TO KNOW WHO ELSE IS JOINING US FOR THIS END OF YEAR CELEBRATION?

Cheers

Adam.

Don't think anyone would risk the wrath of The Boro boys by nicking their table!

In fact, last month, as we knew you weren't coming, we did what the Argentinian FA did when Maradonna retired - they 'retired' his number 10 shirt......................we did the same and 'retired' your table for the night which left a Boro shaped hole near the dance floor (that's true that is :shades: )

C U on the 28th matey

Plan to be there to say hello to Mssrs Robins, Smith etc although Julie was on about going to see Soul Patrol who are live at the RMI that night so we'll have to see.

With so much on tonight, don't expect huge crowds at Totally Soul at Horwich RMI but would be nice to be proved wrong - the music will suit those who enjoy the Orwell.

Totally Soul - does what it says!

found this nice little singalong

If I lose this dream

I don't know what I'm gonna do

If I lose this dream

I'm dreaming about for me and you

If it goes away

I might as well hang it up

'Cause I don't know

If I have the heart or mind

To make it true

Or help it grow

And I only know, I only know, I only know

If I lose this dream

It's goodbye love and happiness, yes

You're the one I need

I don't want a love

That's second best

There've been all of my life

I wanted to do

That made me blue

Help me hold onto this dream

For sometimes dreams often come true

And they all come true, they all come true

For me and you

Wait a minute baby

Don't let me lose this dream

Baby, baby hold on

Don't let me lose my dream, no

Baby, baby be strong

You say that a-you believe that what I say is true

And that I'm the one and only girl for you

Just tell me

That no matter what the people say

You're in my corner all the way

And I won't lose this dream

Baby, baby hold on

Don't let me lose my dream, no

Baby, baby be strong

Don't let me lose this dream

Baby, baby hold on

Baby, baby hold on

Don't let me, ooh baby

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,

In the lane, snow is glistening

A beautiful sight,

We're happy tonight.

Walking in a winter wonderland.

Gone away is the bluebird,

Here to stay is a new bird

He sings a love song,

As we go along,

Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,

Then pretend that he is Parson Brown

He'll say: Are you married?

We'll say: No man,

But you can do the job

When you're in town.

Later on, we'll conspire,

As we dream by the fire

To face unafraid,

The plans that we've made,

Walking in a winter wonderland.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,

And pretend that he's a circus clown

We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman,

Until the alligators knock him down.

When it snows, ain't it thrilling,

Though your nose gets a chilling

We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way,

Walking in a winter wonderland.

see you there "!!!!!
