I never gave consideration to the possibility it may be a bit of 'friendly' !??! banter aimed at Mr Manship... I though it was in reference to an american term for 'punters' (normally associated with ladies of the night) being referred to as 'John's' - as for the 'Holy Grail' bit... who knows !!

To be honest, I find it a little bit sad that a major dealer is reduced to this sort of cheap publicity.

he is always having a pop a Mannie for selling other stuff at auction apart from records..programs poster car reg plates etc

Its not the first time and wont be the last but Mannie is bigger than that.

He doesnt need to try to belittle other dealers when He is the TOP man for rare records

An like a few others have mentioned its all just a bit of fun, lets keep it in perspective here, both the guys mentioned deserve full respect for there knowledge and integrity.

We all know whats holy grail and whats not, an whats rare and whats common so wheres the harm. We all buy records because we like them not because of what somone's written about them.

John's write ups on his website are always interesting and a source of finding out a little more info about a artist or a tune.

Keep it up guys, its just funny nothing more nothing less.

when you get it in the post I think if you never bought any thing for 6 months that box was ticked when it came through the door..
