Last copy went on Manships site in 2013 for about £13k - I think only 4 known copies ? fast forward to nowadays and the crazy prices records are achieving - anybody’s guess if one came up for sale !!!!!!!

Single was recorded Oct 1973 - Album released - May 1974 ….

Both came out in 74’ - the single was the only release from the album - the single reaching no. 15 in the charts - so am guessing the album came first and the popularity of the track at the time resulted in the single being released ….

It was £3200 with ten minutes to go when I last looked ! Looks like the bids were coming thick and fast then towards the end ….

Just been listening to an old tape from the 80’s - did we ever discover who this was AND how to tell what mis press the mysterious side it’s on ?

In a nutshell - it was a game changer from the beginning it was played at Stafford , spine tingling opening chords and the way he sings Deeper Deeper DEEPER ! Still puts hairs up on the back of my neck now after nearly 40 yrs ! The ultimate big beat ballad

Always preferred the other side !

In my opinion - they don’t ! Just because people are willing to pay overinflated prices for a certain record - does not make that price a true reflection of its value - plenty of rich people collecting out there utilising pensions / savings / investments to fund their collections - they want that record and have the cash to get it

Funnily enough neither did I ! Just checked mine as well and it’s an original ! BUT I only got mine a couple of months back from a well known respected dealer on here and paid less than a third of what it went for tonight ! Crazy times with even crazier prices !!!!
