£3 tops surely. Local record fair material.

BBC 1 Inside Out - Wigan Casino Segment 10 Feb 2020
It just looked like a cardboard cut out inserted in a sleeve to me.

Michael Proctor RIP
Sad news. I don't really have any details . His work with the Urban Blues Project some great dancefloor hits. Deliver Me is my favourite.

Luxury Soul 2020 Album - Expansion Records
Look like another great Luxury Soul compilation. One of the highlights of the year.

Ebay Results - Top 45s for Dec 2019 Results Listed
Not many of the top 500 in that list. There are in fact quite a lot of exciting records way outside of the top 500 in that list.

Judith hill
Got her Back In Time album about five years ago. It's ok but nothing prompted me to continue to search her out. The track you've posted is quite good.

Lorraine Chandler. R.I.P.
RIP Lorraine. Such a great artist and revered member of Soul Source. At least she knew how much she was loved in the UK and beyond.

Soul 4 Real 7" Calvin Richardson
This thread prompted me to dig out the CD over the weekend. I wonder what prompted these particular tracks to come out on the 45 because there are even other better tracks on the album imo. Nice bonus for those who discover Calvin's work through buying this record.

John Anderson R.I.P.
Excellent well written tribute as you'd expect from Stuart.

Is there a sound clip available?

Absoulutely - Cornell C.C. Carter - New Album - Izipho Records
Great album. His best yet. I'm please Izipho have put a CD out. Some great dancers in Say Yes, I See Love and Ghosted (although I’m not keen on the Twilight Zone riff). Also, two very good cover versions of Come Live With Me Angel and We’re A Winner. The latter seems to be having a bit of revival at the moment with another cover by Phillip Bailey earlier this year and The Impressions getting played out again.

soul/R&B nights in San Francisco?
Bumping this for myself as I'm off there late November
-
Mohawk - Rita Dacosta - Don't Bring Me Down
I think it must be the same lady. Too much of a coincidence.
-
Curtis Mayfield - Artist of the Week
So many excellent songs over decades, but for the modern soul heads.....
-
Gene Chandler - Artist Of The Week
So many great songs to choose from over such a long period of time. This is one of my faves that hasn't already been picked.

Most valuable soul CDs
Delouie - King Before His time was a promo only and should be worth a few quid.
- RIP Les Adams

BBC Radio 2 - Motown Weekend -This Weekend
I enjoyed it too. Some great choices.

Poll: Vocal or Instrumental Battle - Luther Ingram
Vocal for me. It's what I heard first from the Detroit A Go Go LP. Mind you, I used to like the way Nick Driv Brown used to play the instrumental and mix in the vocal at Scenesville.
-
Northern Soul Story LPs on Soul Supply
I’ve got the EP too. It has The Younghearts, The Appreciations, The Flirtations and Eddie Foster are on it.
-
Papa Bear And The Cubs Just out.
What's the big deal? It's a brand new reissue, not some old rarity.
-
Artist Of The Week - The Marvelettes
Every single record posted above is fabulous.

Artist Of The Week - The Marvelettes
Such a great act

Poll: A Battle of The Brothers - Right Track
Never heard the Jerry Butler version before and I like it. What a voice! Not sure if it's better though.
