  1. A lot of people obviously think its an interesting subject (me included) All part of the scene's history
  2. It was awesome mate, i'd give my right one to go back and experience it again If the record isn't to some peoples taste fair enough but its one of the iconic tunes of our scene and one of my all time top 5 - "one of those novelty type records they played at Wigan"….. If you were there you were lucky IMO
  3. Get him to sign up on here, that would be fun…….

  6. “I feel good about it, because I’ve always wanted to play in London,” he says. Someone needs to tell Jock that Cleethorpes ain't in London…...

  13. Certainly was mate - brilliant!!
  14. What you said was "every DJ worth his salt should be striving to fill the dance floor" What that results in, in my experience, is the said DJ's playing the same, safe records because they're afraid that something outside that bracket will clear the floor. "‹Thats the connection I was making, don't you think thats true?
  15. Sar Cazam & The P-Takers on Hu-Ma…….
  16. Dance floors are for dancing on and its a dance based scene, there's nothing better than a packed floor and an atmosphere you can cut with a knife - agreed. BUT and here's the big but - nights out AREN'T for going out week after week, month after month and year after year to hear the SAME hammered to death records which is what happens in general. If you've got to do this to keep the floor full, count me out - its enough to bore you to death! I know the thread isn't exactly about this but this issue is at the heart of the debate! Only my humble opinion of course
  17. Ever heard of irony?
  18. Well fancy playing Court Davis when the crowd probably wanted Wigan oldies….
  19. Some of you need to read the initial post and get a grip on what its about "records that might have been monsters on the scene" being the important bit Jesus…...
