  1. Human nature...if a top collector died and the wifey sells the vinyl....not everybody would be respectful....some would see it as an opportunity. Sad but true... You hear a lot of stories about great finds in charity shops. Not many say they gave more than the asking price of 50 pence or so. Vinyl addiction can be a cruel mistress:) Ed
  2. Fascinating stuff. Thanks for the education. Ed

Unique voice and style. Everybody sings along to his big hits. Son of a Coal Miner, and from West Virginia! He had massive success and truly deserved it. RIP Bill. Ed
  4. I was truly skint in 84/85. Not much work going in my line of business, coal mining. Nottingham was not deemed as welcoming to us Yorkshiremen. Just had a few flying visits, kept getting turned back. All in the past now I guess... Ed
  5. Can it be groups? Come on sources... Teddy P? Joe T? Fred H? Eddie F? Garnett M? Joe S? Any chance in a million Jock M will get selected..? Ed
  6. Not got any proper rare or expensive vinyl any more....just hope one of the under £50 records I have left, takes off and moves up a decimal point or two! They are not making them anymore! Ed
  7. Saw a copy for $1000 at the la2004 gig.. You could also buy this for $10: Ed
  8. Sweet soul music. Sounds like colour him father.. Ed
  9. Had a green copy for yonks. Only bought a few records in the last 10 years. A white demo of this one of them! Special track indeed. Ed

  12. Superb track/version from Betty. Ed
  13. It was a privilege to see these songbirds perform at the 2017 Detroit a go go event followed by a visit to the Motown museum. 42 years after first hearing These things...at the youthy, it still sounded fresh. Ed
  14. Loads of starfish....never seen that before. Ed
  15. A breezy day at Cleggy.. Ed
  16. RIP Skip. Janice was an impact record for sure, and he cut lots of great soul tunes as well. My fave: Ed

  23. Are you feeling those vibes? Ed
  24. What a record. Superb Ed
  25. I remember around the time the "jumping at the go go" lp got released, hundreds of white RCA demos appeared at all nighters for sale. Somebody obviously found a warehouse full. About £25 a pop, I got the bobbettes, rose valentine, and Roy Hamilton CUOY. As always, wish I'd bought more, and sold less... Never saw many yellow demos though of Exciters or Judy Freeman. I think Arthur Fenn had all of them.... Could have been a soul bowl thing. Ed
