You're entitled to your opinion ,whoever wrote this article , but I consider " Just Soul " to be one of the best Soul nights in the country , overflowing with brilliant records and both DJ's and customers who really know their Soul music .It would also be respectful if you could at least learn to spell Retford correctly .Yours ,Eddie

He did Ted , Wigan at least, I recorded it on tape around 1980 there .....Also Dave Hitch [Walsall ] taped his copy of " Life Of Tears " for me early 80's ,don't know where that particular copy ended up .....

I know Banbury had " The Gaff " which was an all nighter in the 60's , lots of the older crowd remember it ,and I've met people who travelled to it from afar .It was very close to the police station , and the site is now a Gala bingo hall .Great thread .....Eddie

I have a midtempo record on tape which I think is titled " I live in a castle " , midtempo male vocal , beautiful strings and maybe vibes ? I've been trying to find out what it is for years ,can anyone help ? cheers Eddie
