Earl Harrison
Thanks but John this is not quite right. I interviewed the songwriter, And there is a bit in my book about it all (plug plug!). Suffice to say the Wand release was before Garrison and was pulled and replaced with the Garrison release. And yes it does exist on Wand.

Jean Carne - Newcastle - Sunday 24 March 2013
Jean was fab in Edmonton last night and the "Jean Carne Ensemble" backing band were great as was Chris who duetted with her. I'd never quite realised the connection with Phyllis Hyman which she explained. (She also did an impromptu "You know how to love me" in response to an audience request. She was on stage at 8 and on til 9.45 so great value. You folks in Newcastle get along there for a treat. And take your requests cos she might ask you for them!

Larry Clinton
I agree Dave, with many of these so called "rare records" there are more of them stashed away in collections than many folk realise.

Billy Woods, Let Me Make You Happy
John told me he got them from the engineer when the label went bust for the first time and the engineer hadn't been paid by Sussex and just had these 200 or so records that he'd managed to get his hands on. Worth asking him about it when you se him, it's a good story.

News: Don Juan Mancha - The Story by Rob Moss
OK thanks for clarifying. I think I got the impression from the soulfulkinda music interview with Don which said "Don had recorded three tracks at Scepter and returned to Detroit to carry on with other projects, leaving Johnny Terry to deal with the finances from the New York end". So I wonder what the sixth song he recorded was then? Session 1: "Dearly Beloved" + "Do you believe it" + "Never leave me" Session 2: ??? + Baby baby take a chance + Don't turn your back on me I want to get it right in the book.....Steve
