  1. There was one up for offers on facebook other day, not sure if it was on here as well.
  2. Whilst doing the podcasts for the Stafford Story for Richard's part the three unissued Motown I could pin down to him was The Temptations, "A Tear From A Woman's Eye" & "Angel Doll" and Marvin Gaye "Lonely Lover", not "It's Killing Me" and they were in '82. That was Dave Withers first and foremost as far as I can ascertain, I have play lists from the second Stafford and the tales of the night in Manchester where Dave first played all the Motown for the first time. I have the SAS nights in an old echoes I will dig them out. None of the Motown from the tapes were played at Wigan according to Rod and Dave.
  3. It was in-between Wigan and Stafford so late 81 or early 82.
  4. SAS, that's the venue I was referring to and the first time Suspicion was played out so I'm led to believe. I have some old echoes with adverts in for e venue, will dig a couple out and scan them.
  5. The original 45 was given out at a promotional convention for the release of the Marvin Gaye CD box set, The Master was it? No one wanted the 45, well not many. Someone told me he was going round picking em all up off the floor.
  6. J.J. Barnes as Jock rightly says is what it was covered up as by Rod and Dave Withers cut from the tapes from Robb K. I know Richard got cuts as well of some of the stuff but was led to believe it was after the Casino shut when played? May have been played somewhere just prior to Stafford, some club in Manchester maybe?
  7. Its hugely indemand and it doesn't pop up every week so price will rise. We've seen this countless times.
  8. Dave Raistrick auctioned one 18 months ago or thereabouts.
  9. The last couple I've seen in the last few weeks have been around £400.
  10. Cheers mate, I will listen just as soon as I get home..

According to Funky Virginia the 45's were first lp later which is how I understood it to be. https://funkyvirginia.blogspot.co.uk/2008_08_01_archive.html can't find much evidence yet of the interview Steve mentions.

Dawson Smith and Tanner are still residing in Lynchberg or they were the last I read.
  19. Or Suspicion. Maybe Minshull played Sam Dees?
  20. Dunno what people expect. They are essentially pop records with the soul/R&B market never given a second thought when released, they weren't aimed at that market, neither was this show. We could sit here and debate all day long and then some about what why and how and come up with a dozen different results as Soul Source's own poll and debate highlighted. Just be thankful something like this is getting some attention at peak viewing time. PS I haven't watched it yet, no TV signal in Mid Wales and the only running water was the nearby river
  21. It might be a case of the post office making it a small parcel rather than the sender?
  22. I no longer give Sky any of my hard earned money Pete so as you say not much use. An upload to mixcloud as Steve show or Soul Discovery via iTunes etc would be good.
  23. The show could do with a podcast or at least an online listen again. Usually busy when it is on.

  25. Hi Steve, I think Andy was charged £4 other day for postage of a 45.
