  1. A highlight of our Soul Source - Artist Of The Week feature Every week we will be setting up a place where members are invited to talk, post and share info, stories, memories, highlights and more all regarding the artist who made this fine music. We will be using the past 'Artist Of The Week' topics as the base for this due to the large amount of enjoyable and worthwhile previous comments/posts Getting this revived series under way this week is Stevie Wonder Stevie Wonder Biography (Wikipedia) Stevland Hardaway Morris (né Judkins; born May 13, 1950), better known by his stage name Stevie Wonder, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist. A child prodigy, Wonder is considered to be one of the most critically and commercially successful musical performers of the late 20th century. He signed with Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11, and continued performing and recording for Motown into the 2010s. He has been blind since shortly after his birth. Among Wonder's works are singles such as "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", "Superstition", "Sir Duke", "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", and "I Just Called to Say I Love You"; and albums such as Talking Book (1972), Innervisions (1973), and Songs in the Key of Life (1976). He has recorded more than 30 U.S. top-ten hits and received 25 Grammy Awards, one of the most-awarded male solo artists, and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the top 60 best-selling music artists.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Wonder The above clip is from Wikipedia, the user-contributed encyclopedia. 2. I remember buying this with money from my paper round. Purchased from our local record store with listening booths on the wall. How things have changed since then. The one thing that hasn't changed is that I like this record just as much today as I did then. Plus that very record is still in my collection.
  3. Time moves on and this weekend we start to revisit Artist of the Week. As before, we will change the Artist week by week to celebrate and reflect on their career.
  4. Many thanks for clarifying this.
  5. Thanks for this information. Was this as they were distributed as I bought two copies of Tobi Legend from Soul Bowl in the 70s. Both came in the Amy, Mala, Bell sleeve as pictured.
  6. White DEMO STAMPED ZTSC121583-1A Stock Copy ( Later Design ) STAMPED ZTSC121583-1B
  7. OK thanks. Yes, they used the later design for the OuttaSight release.
  8. I only have the White DEMO to compare matrix. Exactly the same regarding the ZTSC121582 with different letter as some ZTSC press are. STAMPED ZTSC121582-1A STAMPED ZTSC121582-1B
  9. It is definitely not a recent reissue. Simply the later design label used at the end of its run. Possibly as already suggested due to picking up airplay somewhere as the design changed. It doesn't turn up that often. I have had my copy for years.
  10. Very sad news. R.I.P. Ronnie.
  11. Apart from personal choice regarding the CARLA or KAREN release. The pressing plant used can be noted at the end of the label matrix when viewing some ATCO / ATLANTIC record scans. i.e. BW = Bestway PL = Plastic Products SP = Specialty Records MO = Monarch
  12. Extremely sad news. R.I.P. Nancy. "The End Of Our Love" has always been a favourite of mine.
  13. Very sad news. RIP Grant
  14. I have an item showing at LANGLEY since Friday 12 October. I am still waiting for an update via tracking. It was quicker to get from South America to UK. Now for whatever reason it is stuck.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T A musical legacy that will last forever. R.I.P. Aretha. The Queen Of Soul.
  16. I have not had any problem with polythene Covers, so far. Anyone know if ALL the recently manufactured Clear Cello Bags are OK for Picture Sleeves, etc. Some state acid free and lignin free which I believe has not always been the case.
  17. My thanks as well to all who took part in this dilemma as both are fantastic records. Purely on personal taste as obviously there's no right or wrong choice. I absolutely love the Mirwood label and its output. However torn and after much deliberation I finally chose Ernest Mosley.
  18. I would say 60s as the same numbering sequence was used by PRODISA S.R.L. on some Tamla Motown Argentina releases before RCA Victor took over distribution. I have these; Tamla Motown TD-063-1 FOUR TOPS - I CAN'T HELP MYSELF / WITHOUT THE ONE YOU LOVE - TD-063-2 Tamla Motown TD-064-1 JR.WALKER - SHOTGUN / TUNE UP - TD-064-2 Tamla Motown TD-068-1 SPINERS - TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME / I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU - TD-068-2 Obviously a misprint of Spinners Plus this one already posted above from 20th CENTURY FOX RECORDS TD-085-1 Distributed by PRODISA S.R.L.
  19. Yes, 1974 on the label. www.45cat also states May 1976
  20. Very sad news. R.I.P. Della
  21. Yes, even though "Nashville Matrix" didn't press discs their mark only tends to appear on records pressed other than "ARP" or Monarch.
  22. Motown did use another Midwest plant besides "ARP". These have the "Nashville Matrix" rather than "ARP" as mentioned above. This Test Press looks to be from the other Midwest plant. So I wouldn't expect to see the "ARP" stamp.
  23. Very sad to hear of his passing. He helped to create so many of the records we love. R.I.P. Jerry Ross.
  24. Extremely sad news. Another legend passes. R.I.P. Bunny Sigler
