Who's Your Best Mate On The Uk Soul Scene?
My BESTEST SOUL MATE in the World EVER! is VAN ASTBURY to my never ending sorrow now departed. I was divorced living on me own in 94, kids were the other side of OZ and I heard Saxie Russell playing over the fence, YES!! Talked about our scene and Wigan days and stayed Soulful for ever. That's me true mate Van, loved him to bits, woulda married him if his gorgeous wife Les would have agreed. So many great memories, Thank you.

TWO THINGS THAT ARE KILLING THE SOUL SCENE
Here in Perth Australia, we have a small choice of where to go and to be honest sometimes I am too knackered to go out, I wind my decks up and have a few drink's [sometimes more than a few] at home and still get the rush and the buzz that I got in the 70's. Bloody Brilliant this music eh!!

white paper sleeves
Yes, I find it a bit of a pain. Trimming the tops ok but trimming the side means its a bit risky if mates want a butchers and drag the sleeve out!
