  1. My BESTEST SOUL MATE in the World EVER! is VAN ASTBURY to my never ending sorrow now departed. I was divorced living on me own in 94, kids were the other side of OZ and I heard Saxie Russell playing over the fence, YES!! Talked about our scene and Wigan days and stayed Soulful for ever. That's me true mate Van, loved him to bits, woulda married him if his gorgeous wife Les would have agreed. So many great memories, Thank you.
  2. Well bugger me! I thought I had done well with Bob Cuban too!! picked one up at the local record fair [Perth] excactly like the scan for a couple of dollars a couple of years ago and felt well chuffed, now I feel well cheated :-(
  3. Well said Chalky! you are absolutely right, I know "DJ's" with fantastic sounds but the tempo is all over the shop so [in my opinion} it makes for a shit set.
  4. Hope the next guide has the record scans in, when 6 came out I gave series 5 away [idiot]
  5. Here in Perth Australia, we have a small choice of where to go and to be honest sometimes I am too knackered to go out, I wind my decks up and have a few drink's [sometimes more than a few] at home and still get the rush and the buzz that I got in the 70's. Bloody Brilliant this music eh!!
  6. Thanks Frankie, I will look into it.
  7. ok I admit to fnowing f 'all about turntables, i honestly thought Stanton & Numark were ok makes [they start from about 350 GBP here in Australia. Why British? I would have thought German but would like to know as iI don't want to trash my precious vinyl either but then again shipping aturntables to other side of World, how would they fare. Thanks for post, KC
  8. It is my opinion on what I am looking to buy, yes I do buy records of lower value now, records I like which have got f**k all to do with top 500. as for feeling silly, yes many times oh learned one.
  9. It seems to me that anything half collectable and a good tune starts at 100 quid!
  10. Yes, I find it a bit of a pain. Trimming the tops ok but trimming the side means its a bit risky if mates want a butchers and drag the sleeve out!

Yes, I agree about the Darrell Banks sound. Fantastic! Steve Mancha is a great sound also but Monday thru Thursday apart from the words seems the same to my ears but saves wearing out A side Good times.
