I'm beginning to get a bit lost now with all the reissues etc. I bought a copy thinking it's a reissue to play at home. But it's a vinyl . Is it a reissue or proper one.... I'm totally confused now 🤔

'I Searched for Soul and Found the Stars'
Not only a fantastic book but I can't think of a more worthy cause than a stroke clinic. I am a lucky sod who has had 2 small ones with very few lasting problems . so a massive thank you from for raising so much. Take care of yourself and hope to see you out and about sometime in the near future.

Thank you for letting me know. Although I knew the 2 singers names I didn't know much about them. Very sad news for Her family and friends..

Soul 2020 - A lookback in... ?
Highlights for me were having time and money to look for records as I don't always have a lot of spare money to spend but with not going out I've probably bought more this year than since the early 80s. And I finally got one of these And the other thing that I found that I enjoyed was growing vegetables etc. In my garden, On the first day of lockdown the area on the right was just lawn and by mid summer I had a great selection . Looking forward to growing some more in the spring.

Ambers- "I Love You Baby" issue
I have an issue which someone gave me years ago it looks like it has been dragged along a road for miles by tanks and Jcb's but it plays with only a couple of crackles on the intro. So it might be your copy. Would be interesting what others say

Bobby Wilburn I'm a dreamer
Always loved this record. But I can't believe that I have seen it for sale for £2000 on Rarenorthernsoul. I know it's rare but i was surprised to see the price. But everything seems to be fetching very high prices at the moment

What track do you never get tired of
I can't narrow it down to one record. My utmost favourite is the professionals that's why I love you. I never tire of hearing it and even now after 40 odd years of owning one it always gets to me. But the other one is the tomangoes I really love you. For anyone who doesn't know me my son Kevin followed in my footsteps onto the niter scene and at a niter we were both dancing our tits off to this and we caught each other's eyes as we were singing along to the chorus and it's one of those moments I'll cherish for the rest of my life. And each time I hear or play it it brings back a very special moment in my life

Contact label Chicago and The Traits
Hi. You say that you have never heard it out I played it a couple of times but it is one of those sounds that not many know and didn't go down well with the dancers

Clouded vision when bidding on eBay
Was looking through records on eBay up for auction last week and saw a reasonable copy of Herbert Hunter born to love you. At the time bidding was up to $630 dollars. Not sure what price it finished at but after doing a search I found one on Mr Manships for £350 with label damage and one on rare soul 45's for either £400 or £450 can't remember which. My point is that why don't people do a quick search or are they like a rabbit caught in the headlights and just bid and bid cause they have more money than sense??

MGM Demo's
Thanks. So maybe it was just a change of label design. I hadn't given that a thought. Thanks again

MGM Demo's
Hi all. Don't know if this has been covered before but does anyone know why the cartoon character of the lion holding a record is on some demos and not others. I have took photos of 2 demos to show differences

DEALERS
I've just had a bad experience with a record dealer using his site. Not naming him but big name on the scene and promoter in the 80s. Anyway I occasionally have problems with my email address so I messaged him to ask if I could pay directly over the phone he said yes and asked what record it was (it's £35 on his site and still there) so i told him what it was guess what no reply I take it he wasn't making enough money for him to sort it out and process it the old way. Won't even look at his lists anymore. Not my fault my money isn't good enough
