Strictly does Northern at Blackpool but looks strictly em
We should all make an official complaint to the BBC on the grounds that it was not a true representation of Northern soul dancing and that they have caused irreparable damage to our scene. https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/complaints/forms/?lang=en&reset=&uid=979230797

Think they have misunderstood the rules of Northern soul. You are meant to be spinning off your head, not spinning on it..

Mighty Bub's Memorial trophy
Your help is needed If you have ever attended the fantastic Cleethorpes 6T's Soul weekender run by Ady Croasdell, you will be well aware that the madness on Sunday night includes the DJ Dance competition, where DJ's who should know better, are rounded up to perform in a ritual of humiliation that is most commonly known as musical chairs. The winner of this event since 1999 has been awarded the Mighty Bub's Memorial trophy. This was meant to be engraved each year with the winners name and returned for the next years shenanigans. The Trophy went missing in Europe somewhere in 2008 and was only returned last Year in 2015, this means that we have quite a few names to fill the gaps. As I won it last year (and quite a few others) I feel that I should get this up to date and returned to Ady ready for the 2016 weekender 10th - 12th June Can you help with missing names please. 1999 - Wakey & Ady 2000 - Dave Rimmer 2001 - Roger Banks 2005 - Niamh Lynch 2006 - Andy B B 2007 - Keith Money 2008 - ? 2009 - ? 2010 - ? 2011 -? 2012 - ? 2013 - Andy Newman 2014 - Eddie Hubbard (I think) 2015 - Andy Newman Many thanks for your help Andy

Brilliant news Ady, looking forward to the 100 Club and getting to listen to more undiscovered gems. Excellent news. You sure are the soul detective when it comes to finding those lost gems. See you soon.

The 100 Club is back!
The 100 club is always worth the trek, always a friendly welcome from the regulars. The music is always guaranteed to be outstanding, but if you fancy a chin wag you can always pop outside on to Oxford St and have a laugh at all the pissed up states trying to get home in dodgy cabs and those three wheeled bike things that look like they have been peddled from Thailand. No but seriously the 100 Club has changed quite a bit since the 80's, it used to be strictly members only ( and I still have my card), and the only way for it to keep going is to let the general public in, there are a few muppets every now and again, but they dont tend to stay too long and looking back I do remember a few odd occasions in the early days that you had people arsing around on the dance floor spilling drinks and falling asleep pissed on the stage, so it still is the same as it was, I just think that we forgot what states that we got in to some times in our younger days !!! Last Saturday was brilliant, and I will return time and time again to the 100 club, I love it, I quite like to compare it ( quite aptly) to a comfortable pair of shoes.......
