TCS Records was active from 1972-1988 with 24 7” singles, 15 LP’s and 6 12’’s, but there were a number smaller labels with a handful of releases. Several acts, including the The Tony Carter Singers, The Gabriel Hardeman Delegation and Dawkins New Sound Choir recorded their first singles for TCS Records at Virtue Studio’s on North Broad St. As a new label TCS Records had a steady output of secular sounding gospel music that didn’t always fit in with the more traditional Philadelphia gospel scene.
