About The Event

The COVID-19 measures have left the Rare Soul scene littered with cancelled events and the faithful following home alone at the weekends; so the Bury Town Hall team have decided to launch a ‘virtual’ all-nighter. The show will be broadcast over internet radio every Saturday while we’re under lockdown from 20:00 until the early hours of Sunday morning.

The format will be just like a real event with a selection of DJs from previous and upcoming all-nighters at Bury Town Hall selecting their spots, carefully in order, from actual records they own to keep it real.

You can join us at https://www.radioking.com/radio/soulallniter

We hope you enjoy the show and it goes some way to filling the void and lifting your spirits

It may be a good idea for all the play lists to be posted each week to take the presure off Simon having to also do the Mix-clouds.  He could do that at the click of a button (As long as each DJ doesn't mind of course) At least people can scroll through these lists picking out tunes they don't know / or being reminded how good a track is that they haven't heard for a long time.

Playing music through this radio show has kinda 'fast tracked' breaking unfamiliar tunes to lots of people, which can take an age at events.

Simon's 'walking the dog' idea has developed in to a really good project.

Len. You have removed your narration from last night. I for one look forward to your tales as much as your choice of tunes and Johnny,s write up. It,s passing down into this scenes folklore

I reckon its a conspiracy !! When you saw that I was unable to attend, you all got together - didn't you.. I know you did !! and thought.. Fingers ain't tuning in tonight.. lets all up the ante and present a night of music that will totally piss him off for missing it..  C'mon.. Admit it !!

Pete.. Fecking 'eck as like.. Having been an avid LP collector over the years, your Willie Hutch opener has ALWAYS been a fave of mine - but even I can count on one hand how many times I've heard it played out.. Brilliant !! And you threw in one of the greatest Marvin Gaye tracks E-V-E-R !!

Damn.. I ALWAYS miss out !! You bunch of bas*ards !! lol Boo Hoo !! 🤣

Johnny. I know i,ve put a few pounds on in this crazy lock down but not enough to be called a bunch of bas*ards maybe i will admit to one

Just to add, that in these strange times, Saturday night is a "must be there" night of virtual escapism at what I'm sure will become the Legendary Bury "online" allnighter! Furthermore the effort put in by the "team" in both production and entertainment is first class, and deserves all the virtual applause it merits! A very eclectic mix of Soul music which covers all tastes......Last night like previous didn't disappoint, so roll on next Saturday!

Thanks

wilxy
