Well two years have flown by from the October 2021 re-launch of Ashton Ukrainian Club. We've had some amazing nights and been treated to some stunning DJ sets from an array of guests with playlists to rival any quality all-nighter.

Saturday October 21st we welcome Kev Murphy, resident DJ at Culcheth and the much missed Lowton Civic Hall nights. Shropshire's finest Mark Jones will be joining Kev as an Ashton Debutant, expect the finest in rare and underplayed soul, with a few surprises. Really pleased to welcome Pete Hollander back behind the decks. Pete was responsible for the Winsford niters in the late 90s and more recently The Springfield , if Pete's in attendance you know it's gonna be a good night.

Former Ukrainian Club resident Chris Penn will be making the long trip back down the A1 from the North East, quality Soul Music assured !!

Starting the whole thing off Phil Dunn, playing his customary across the board set. Last but definitely not least Chris Churm after a stunning closing set in September, that turned a few heads

As ever, please arrive early, to avoid disappointment!! The night runs 7pm-00.30 and just £5 admission pay on the door. Check out the thread for more updates and our "try before you buy" sound bites from our guest DJs, please feel free to RSVP the event!!

Really looking forward to returning to one of my favourite venues.

Ref the additions to the playbox, if the current Mrs Penn reads this, "No dear, I have not been buying anything for ages...so there's no need to go and check the credit card bill".

I'm sure Mrs Penn understands that any new purchase was a tenner anyway just like Mrs Ingham Chris

Nearly weekend and our October date at Ashton Ukrainian, is now on the horizon!! Saturday October 21st a feast of rare soul is waiting. The night runs 7.00pm-00.30 and just £5 admission pay on the door!!

Mark Jones will be WOWING us with a variety of forgotten oldies, in-demanders, acetates and much much more. We also welcome Culcheth main man Kev Murphy, digging deep into the collection, for some seldom heard gems!! Add to that Chris Penn returning to the Ukrainian Club decks, with some mighty selections, please check out the thread for a quick look see of what we mean!!

Looking forward to Pete Hollander, bringing the heat, with a flavour of some memorable niters at Winsford and before that The Bridge Hall Hotel in the early 90s and beyond!!!

Kicking the whole thing off, as ever Phil Dunn with some classy selections and Ashton Head Honcho Chris Churm sending the Ashton Faithful home, begging for more.

Sometimes five and a half hours just isn't enough!! See you on the floor, be rude not to

Mick, I always remember Pete Hollander dj'ing at the wonderful Alvaston Hall, Crewe, in fact I think he was one of the promoters there, I could be wrong with that but I definitely remember this one from The Fantastic 4 was one of his big plays there.
