Don't know if this one has been covered before but just curious
We are all aware of some outstanding records over the years to get played and rightly so to become classics on our scene, namely The Nomads , Soul Set , Judy Hughes , Vivian Carrol , etc etc etc ...
We have even had a few blue eyed compilations put together , e.g. Rare Blue Eyed Northern Soul and latetly Northern Soul At The Beach , which are quality albums ,
BUT do you think a DJ would get away with a full set of white artists in his set at a soul night or a nighter as a bit of something different OR would some folks twig and bombard him with requests from black artists !!!
Personally I don't think it matters , I'm a massive fan of the Carolina beach music scene and could easily listen to a whole soul night of it , never mind a spot !!!
