Jackie Edwards and the Chants for sure. Busty Springfield stuff - What's it Gonna be?, Dusty in Memphis. A lot of 'beat' groups released quite acceptable soul-type material - the Action, Spencer Davies Group or the Small Faces, fr'instance . A lot of UK soul is a bit 'chicken in a basket' for my tastes. And don't forget Soft Cell!! :rolleyes:
