Many thanks for all the good wishes from some very genuine soul friends. We have made a lot of them on our travels to the U.K. whether deejaying there or not and have loved every minute o

Nothing lasts forever Tony, everything has a shelf life. [i wish a few more promoters would realise that] Good luck with everything you do in the future. Best regards, Phil.

aren't you the person who brought up this specific topic in this thread?
After 7 very soulful years Sue and I have decided to hang up our promoting hat. We had 5 and a half glorious years at The Fly here in Fremantle and even had as our guest, John Manship. Sadly the Fly did the dirty on us last September by pushing up the rent and wanting a cut from every person through the doors. We were getting up to 300 soulies a month, all spending good money behind the bar but greed took over and we told them to shove it where the sun don't shine. A recent move to a new venue hasn't ticked all the boxes for us so the last gig for South West Soul at the Civic Hotel will be Saturday 17th of March. Quite an important date on our calendar as it will be 12 years to the day since we arrived on the shores of Australia. But as they say..Onward and Upward and we have decided on a permanent move to the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia for, hopefully a peaceful life. Who knows there may be Soul in Greece ' Island Style '. Watch this space !!! Have to say a BIG, BIG Thankyou to everyone that supported our soul nights, we had a blast. For anyone on S S that may be interested, i will be selling all my big ticket records before the move so please keep an eye on the ' sales ' or p.m. me for a list. There are some corkers in my ' best box ' including the Nolan Chance on Bunky. Tony T BONE and the lovely Sue OZ ( who worked so hard and tirelessly to keep everyone happy during the 7 years ).
