:hatsoff2:HI ALL ...Half the year has gone by, and that means there has been loads of great records, that you have posted in the SOULSOURCE RECORD OF THE DAY,

Just a quick reminder of the rules:-

1, it was intended that any record posted, was from out of your box, and you found it,as a must DJ record,

but you feel it would be more suitable for the SOULSOURCE IN-CROWD,

2.IF POSSIBLE JUST GIVE A TICK IN THE LIKE BOX, RATHER THAN WRITEING GREAT CHUNE, & DOWNLOADING THE RECORD, AS IT P**SES THE MODERATORS OFF?

3, PLEASE ADD AS MUCH INFO WHEN POSTING, INCLUDING A GUESTAMOUNT PRICE & RAREITY.

4. IF YOU LIKE THE SOUND, OR HAVE MORE INFO, PLEASE ADD TO THE THREAD.

5. MAY i THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE GREAT RECORDS POSTED, ECLICTIC IS COOL!

My pick to start us of, is the A side of the record I picked yesterday, DONNIE ELBERT - GET READY - CBS.

VALUE £10 ISSUE, DEMO £30 TODAY, A great double cider and cheap to boot, enjoy the summer

AS ALWAYS  DAVE K

You just have to see the spoof movie called "Black Dynamite" made in 2009 looks like it was filmed in 1973 based on John Shaft............ :D

:hatsoff2: HI ALL As it's Friday! here's a record that I got from MICK SMITH in 1972 after his trip to the USA, and to my ears, it is the best example of uptempo soul, over the years I have had this in every form, but it is the red & white Atlantic Demo that I got from Mick,

  my #1 fave instrumental  DAVE

Never been a massive Ray fan & only have a couple of 45's by him but this is a brilliant dancer by him.Massive nighter tune a few years back & still today when it gets a runout it always gets a dance.

Albert Jones - I Do Love You

Took me ages to find a nice copy of this, never tire of spinning it.

Was going to post this as it sounded great played at Just soul Retford last week I forgot but just remembered here ya go Don Gardner Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy

Always been a favourite of mine, and still gets good floor reaction.

Grover Mitchell - What hurts.

Prices seem all over the place, so not sure exactly what it's worth.

Dave

Not just one from me ... but three ... & the two artists involved doing them live -- well miming I guess ........

My first visit to Burscough for there 5th anniversary & it certainly won't be my last, bit of a trek for us but well worth the effort.Nigh on a perfect mix of tunes for me,some I had, some I'd not heard in ages & some brilliant new stuff to me.........as I say just about perfect.Plus it was a full house with a great atmosphere at nice venue,so ticked most box & I'd recommend a visit if you've not already been.

So thought I'd throw one up that got played last night, not a cheapie but worth every penny (suppose it was a cheapie for me as it was a birthday present :D ),one of my fave group tunes.

Had it couple of years now & there only used to be Bob Hinsley who played it at one time but you hear it played quite a bit these days...........quite right too, proper group tune.

I'd say I was sorry it's in my box & not yours but I aren't really :D
