Rafa Club 6th December 2014 — Special guest DJ’s John Parker — (York soul club) and Davy Mason (Gateshead)
This the last soul night at the Rafa club in 2014 and what better way to end the year than with 2 fantastic rare soul dj’s in John and Davy. We were so pleased that John and Davy could make it and it’s John’s 3rd appearance in the last 2 years which is testament to our faith in him delivering the goods as a rare northern soul DJ. John and wife Carol arrived really early (approx 7.30pm) and a Carol was first up on the floor to Ian’s set (Spiedels and Bob & Fred) which set the tone for the night. A good crowd supporting John and Davy with people from as far as Clitheroe and Burnley plus the usual soul fans from Bishop Auckland and Newton Aycliffe. Ian Shoulder first up on the decks with :

Absolutely fabulous set from Davy Mason and as usual he delivers the goods playing only the best and some superb rare UK copies / 45's too. Lots of his set is on the free cd which in mind was one of the best cd's I've done this year, John Parker adding to the cd made it a joy to listen too.
