Right folk bit of a strange one ive been asked to do my mates daughters wedding everything sorted she says only northern & Motown to be played no prob the first dance a waltz what soul  track to play after that she what's sweet happiness got that  then it's over to me Any thoughts much appreciated thanx jazz

I like to be a little controversial. We have oft spoken of blue eyed soul - and there are some great examples. Not sure that I ever hear Van's name mentioned in those conversations - but he have soul. Call me names if you like - but you should play this. :thumbsup:

With This Ring worked for our first dance back in '74 (had to take the vinyl along for the wedding DJ). Nearly 43 years on you still hardly hear it out and it remains a special tune to us. :yes:
