Guest Andy Brazil
Am i going soft here Andy, but is Makce poachin` yer` customers, looks out of order to me pay in they`re do,get in yours for nothing, cheaper :o or are they the same do? Don't worry Ken there's a methodist in my maddness although my own week-end biological clock is set to niters only, lots of people that matter to me (inc.sisters, cousins & old mates) think that 10pm is already "late" (think it's something to do with the jumpy, shouty, yelly things they call "children" ) so this should give those with a biological clock that's set to "responsable early-bird" some feasible deniability -ie they can tell themselves; "i'm only going to the warm-up, I'll get up early next day to put up the Barbie doll house shelves, & get the Guinea pig declawed at the vet" any way, once our early bird mates are there...... who knows.. maybe they'll stick around for a while longer seriously: Marcus can do a great set , knows how to join the dots between R&B,Soul & other mod stuff. ...anyone that made it to the dos we used to put on in a Morrocan "Casbah" in Camden Town a few years back will know he is a perfect host, with a great sense of fun. last but not least, -being a bit of an early-bird means he also has a good memory of peoples names -people of late biological clocks & early birds all welcome ! ! <_< Link to comment
Guest clanger v2
Do I hear right?? Is it a bit of a birthday celebration as well?? now, should just about have enough time to get the children declawed and the guinea pig can put up the shelves in the Barbie house. This should then enable me to be a greedy guts and go to the warm up AND the niter (which have thoughtfully been arranged in the same venue) Win - Win if I ever saw it! Make it so Link to comment

Make it so you've got it !! p.s. I like the evolutionary theory as to why there are night owls & early birds... every human population has a small percentage who have "insomniac" tendencies, this apparently goes back to our shared past in the Savannah where every tribe needed someone to keep an eye on the fire to ward off predators. -great excuse, ain't it ? (between you & me, I suspect the present day ratio of insomniacs maybe a bit in excess of requirements for warding off beasties of the night ) Do I hear right?? Win - Win if I ever saw it! Make it so here's to the beasties of the night !!! Link to comment

Every one played some cracking sets! Nice one I agree, a really great crowd and excellent music. I reluctantly left early with Kenny as I'm trying to turn my clock back to "conventional hours" so I don't turn up for my new job at 2pm on Monday I could always invest in a pair of glasses with stick on eyes to get me through the morning, and just nod a lot. Anyway, top night, well done Andy. Like Rowly, I was wondering whether the venue would be a little large but it was pergect. Unfortunately I can't make the next one as I have my night in Colchester on 29th. Will most definately be at the one after though. Link to comment

BILLY Hi mate yes was advertised as R&B......which it was most of the night, but few other bits thrown into the mix, which IMO give it a good music policy, basicly Andy said we're free to play what we want, i would say it was 80% R&B and 20% gritty/uptempo soul which the crowd seemed to love and the dancefloor was buzzing all night, to be honest i think there would have been a bit too much R&B for you but you never know Link to comment
