Great label! WAY OUT RECORDING CO . Bit of everything on here  northern, crossover , ballads . Fantastic stuff ! 

Think for me it would have to be the very first edition of rarest of the rare Vol 1 

If vinyl only it would have to be the original RCA. Compilation.  Jumping at the Go Go. Every single track is a absolute classic

Fifty tracks including some obscure artists.

Try Sonia Ross or Alice Swoboda.

 

Love this label as them find some really great old tracks but also match that with finding out as much as they can about the artist and present it all in a really classy way .

For me their best is the Omnibus box set - of which I have 3 as they made different coloured 7” cases , and an amazing track list :-

The Deep City compilation #  007 was full of quality especially the Paul Kelly Lloyd cuts that included:

 

Unfortunately, I have not kept up with the Eccentric Soul series, only having the Deep City CD.

This thread made me put it in the car as I ran some errands this afternoon, and I had forgotten how much I like some of the tracks...Them Two "Am I A Good Man", "Good Thing" by Frank Williams & Rocketeers, and others.

The Syl Johnson one is a staple road trip one in this house but all are worth buying/listening to

Not got many but the Sitting In The Park compilation is one of the best CDs on any label. A fitting tribute to Bob Abrahamian, every track great with Cindy and the Playmates a real gem.

The Dean Rudland  compilations -All Night Long and Extra Added Soul also worth getting.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier, except Amazon, for back  catalogue Numero CDs. I've looked for some of the above recommended CDs but not found much.

The Numero store in the US has some I want at $10 but will shipping and customs push the cost sky high. Any help appreciated. 

If you’ve got Amazon music you can listen to quite a few of the Eccentric Soul stuff - I use that in the car as I don’t have a CD player

Eccentric Funk not bad either.. 

But at the end of the day, I'd go with the Deep City comp.

Great label, the Omnibus box set was revelation when it came out, I love the Deep city, Dynamic and The Young Disciples (Yodi comp), got a name check on that one, small but there none the less 🙂
