A simply amazing night, over 700 in, one not the best line ups ever with some truly amazing records played.  Here is almost three hours of the night for you listening pleasure.

Another recording of the night (this has Keb's Set) this time from Steve Phillis

 

There was a seriously emotional few minutes for me during Mr Darge's set .

Over forty years had passed since this callow youth was on that very floor when I heard "Thrice" (Black Wings) for the first time and fell in love with that slab of R'n'B greatness.

It was another fifteen-ish years before I managed to prise Dean Anderson's Take 1 acetate from his grasp at the 100 Club after months of pleading.

And then on Easter Sunday everything came full circle after forty years and I don't mind admitting damn near reduced me to tears mid dance ... same DJ , same record , same floor , same me (albeit not so callow or youthful) and to top it off there was Dean Anderson on the stage alongside Colin Law who found the acetates at Tim Brown's and sold one to Dean that I still cherish.

Wonderful moment I'll remember always ... :thumbup:

 

P.S. Apologies to Mr Smith , once of this parish , for disappearing mid-sentence in true all-niter fashion upon hearing the opening bar ... :rolleyes:
