Also well worth picking up for the track 'Come Back To Me'.

Good call Mark68
:wicked:
just played this for the first time in ages and doesn"t it sound good!

Always thought Tamiko Jones was very underrated used to have her "Do The Pearl" on December, love her Arista LP 'Love Trip" from '75 and her Metromedia LP has its moments too..."Let It Flow" and "Can't Live Without Your Love" as well.

Er..... sidewinding my way back on topic (sort of)................. Mel do you like the Ray Charles Orch version of "Sidewinder"?

Eloise Laws also does a nice version on her last CD "Secrets" its called "I Got My Baby"

Allright mate

yes she did but the werent married very long.(apologies if wrong)I actually wrote to John Abbey I think his name was the blues n soul guy....he wrote to me from somewhere like georgia or thereabouts in the mid 80's.

He was a sound guy and obviously I didnt ask about Tamiko as they were well apart by then.

He started i the Home of the blues/blues and soul mags with Dave Godin.Still got every issue from no.1 to about 1990.

cheers
