Chalky
A capacity crowd from all points of the country (including a few from over the border) braved the cold, both inside and out to make the first anniversary a cracking night. The music has been probably the best in the country IMO for upfront 60's and 70's rare soul, forgotten and quality oldies and lesser knowns, both rare and cheap and last night proved no different Still going strong when we left at 8 am. Will try and remember what I spun later and hopefully will get some plays of the other DJs. Edited February 20, 2005 by chalky Link to comment

Guest James Trouble
Fantastic night, well worth the 500 mile round trip! Record of the night for me was the funk 45 by J Mitchell. And that 2 plus 2 just gets better and better. You never know, there may be full dance floor to it in a few more months of hammering it. Keep it up Butch and Mick, the masses will see the light eventually!!!!!! Edited February 21, 2005 by James Trouble Link to comment

Guest Jamie
Twas a great night. Good to see such a happy bunch of peoples when I turned up about 2:00. I was pleased that they managed to play Hamilton Movement twice for you James The music is nothing short of brilliant. It only makes me sad though, because I know I'll never own half the stuff that gets played there - unless I kill you all and accidentally brutally cut your heads off in a freak shaving accident Good to meet Hammy, finally put a face to the name. Just out of interest, did you use the AutoRoute map or the Collins one? We're getting spoilt at the moment, keep it up! Dic Edited February 21, 2005 by Jamie Link to comment

Chalky
Cliff Steele's set, he has one of the hardest set's with his second set, stuck inbetween Butch and Sam but he never fails to impress, great stuff Here's Cliff's set, his second set, following Butch and preceding Sam is enough to give any DJ the jitters but Cliff certainly doesn't worry about it, in fact I think he relishes the challenge, certainly did a great set. Guest hammy
Who in gods name put that single mother bedecked in cheap gold and her screaming kid on the train next to Jock and I? Every time I managed to get my fookin eyes shut it was " SHOOT THE FOOK UP !" "WHUR WE GOIN MAM? " "FOOKING EDINBRUH TO SEE YA GRAN!" Didn't half rub it in that did. I managed to get 20 minutes shut eye before Berwick Upon Tweed and the little wretch woke me up by banging her coloured pencils on my knuckles. It's enough to make you bring up your GNER "All Day Breakfast Ciabatta "! We were gonna stop at Berwick Upon Tweed - so I could introduce Jock to my parents and ask my mother to put his t-shirt through the DAZ Doorstep Challenge. Alas - due to looking like two escapees from Carstairs we decided against it. Jock - Hope you got the beerstains out mate - mind you after watching James Trouble's moves on the dancefloor I'll should have put mother to work on my skidmarks! Only joking James - should have introduced myself but I was trying to keep warm ;-) Superb night all round - and great hospitality from Andy, Heather and Chalky. The best night in the country, if you're into tunes rather than gold plated urinals.... Hammy Link to comment
