These were often done by sign writers in the 70s... real works of art... no cut and paste and run off 100 copies on the laser printer.

I've got a 1976 Samanthas Allnighter poster framed up and it looks the mutts nuts.

I thought that was the one you were talking about but wasn't sure because Lew Stanley had one he kept trying to move on ebay for like $499 starting bid and never got bids on it (he might have sold it eventually).

Very strange indeed. I think it is a fantastic 45 and rarer than most people think maybe ? With a soundclip I would have imagined a much higher result as most people seem to have not knonw the tune before although it had been included an CD "recently".

If Tony Parker reads this thread, me and him had a conversation about the said same record years ago at Bretby, Id never heard the tune until I got this LP and gave it a blast, which was how I was able to tell Tony its was Clarrisa Watson, its in the loft somewhere now, good tune though

The distributor who had 2,000 copies couldn't shift them so he used the vast majority (over 1800 copies apparantly) as target practice for his kids to practice with their Loo-ee-sea-Anna air guns. You couldn't make it up if you tried Mark - that is a bona fide story and explains why it's a hard record.

WTF happened with the dolly gilmore?

i saw it was £450 with over a day to go and so didn't pay any further attention cos it seemed it was likely to close about £550 again

when i was tidying up my pc saw it had closed for about £300 - i would have gone higher than that

how could that happen? surely at least two people must have bidded it up to £450?

A bidder bid £15,100 he meant to bid £151.

Our website hosts changed the bid to £151 after we recieved a frantic e-mail from him. We immediately explained an "error" bid had been made and removed at the end of the write-up of the record.
