After the recent discussions and what at sometimes seem to have been negative posts, thought I'd try and get back to what we all like, THE RECORDS! wink.gif

Even more added to the box, more recent purchases...

The Occasions - Theres No You - Big Jim (recommendation from here, after my first post last year!)

Maxine Brown - It's Torture - Kent (hasn't actually arrived yet, but been paid for, waiting eagerly by letterbox  )

One last thing my wants list could do with adding to, any suggestions for cheap originals under £25, much appreciated. The following are just some of what I've purchased in the last year after receiving suggestions on here, thanks to all of you that took the time to do so.

Five Stairsteps- O-o-h Child.

Charisma Band- Nothing Like your Love.

Moments and Whatnauts- Girls.

Detroit Spinners- Working My Way Back to You.

Tavares- The Judgement Day.

Evelyn Thomas- Sorry, Wrong Number.

You could say an eclectic taste, the Evelyn Thomas may have been a mistake though.

Guest in town Mikey

Johnny Nash - You'll never know/good goodness (MGM)

I see JM has it for £20. Thats about right, but if you want to trawl thru pages of JN stuff on ebay, you might turn up a copy a little cheaper. I got this after seeing people discussing it on here.

Not sure where you're going to pick up the Charisma Band's 'Ain't nothing like your love' for under £25 :wicked::wicked: - that's definitely a mistake!! It'll cost at least ten times that price  .

Some of the best cheapies for me are:

Odds and Ends - Let me Try (about £10)

https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Odds_&_Ends_-_Let_Me_Try.ram

one here for £23.60 if you can't wait

https://www.gemm.com/ddc/search.pl?&a_refno=GML673400506

TSU Toronados - What Good Am I (about £10)

https://www.soulclub.org/stream/TSU_Toronad...t_Good_Am_I.ram

Manship has this but bit expensive.

can usually pick 'em up on ebay for £10ish and they appear often..maybe cheaper..both class! whistling.gif

You can't go wrong the The Impressions, supercorsa - lots of brilliant cheapies inc certainly one of my top three of all time 'You Ought To Be In Heaven' which is a tenner (and I've got a spare if you want one) and 'Meeting Over Yonder' which is another mid-tempo dancer.

Eddie and Ernie did a fair few other Eastern things which are cheap, too.

Baby Washington's stuff on Sue is usually cheap and always good.

Others at random around the 15-25 quid mark: Four Chaps 'True Lovers', Agents 'You Were Meant For Me', Jesse Fisher 'You're Not Loving A Beginner', Steelers 'Get It From The Bottom', Henry Boatwright 'I Can Take Or Leave Your Lovin' (one of the guys out of Soul Bros Inc), Boss Four 'Walkin By'...lots of great stuff out there.
