Released on 7" 45 and 12" on UK Blue Label Motown circa 1986.

Both with Pic Covers.

Arent there of "The World's rated X" that doesnt have Lonely Lover on the other side? I had one in my hand at a show a week or so ago and I think it has another kmix on the flip?

Always thought that the original vinyl release of Lonely Lover was as the flip to the US 12" Motown Demo of World Is Rated X. If so Albert, I have a couple of these and will put one aside for you for September.

it is but it's got the annoying synthesizer effects in it if memory serves me correctly........murders a good record

Spot on Chalks.

I've got it on a 'dodgy' white label (with no 80's re-mix) with So Long on the flip.

Think that's the first 'legal' issue.

First heard it on a mid-eighties tape. Mind you who ever did that played silly buggers with the pitch control and Marvin's voice had a certain chipmunk quality to it.

No idea where the white label copies originated from (possibly much later?? )

Me too. I got mine at Hinkley. I had the choice, Marvin, Anthony & The Aqua Lads or another going for about 5-600 nowadays.

C'est la vie.

was the white labels not from the same source as the 10 inch with suspicion and other unissued motown things kicking about mid to late eighties

Didn't this get a dodgy release before the other (proper tempo) white label dodgy release and covered up as Eddie Holland with the speed turned up?

This was released as a white label alongside the unrel. Supremes, Gladys Knight and Marvelettes tunes ("Too Late for You" etc) in the late eighties, wasn`t it ? At least thats when I got them...

Haha have one of those too, Eddie Holland and the Chipmunks more like!
