I`m at present organising a allnighter in the north east of england fo next year and will be shortly putting together a list of dj`s for the event, along with the usual suspects for allnighters, i`m looking for someone who needs to break onto the nighter djing scene. would love to hear a few suggestions

i would bring up myself about dj'in but i havent been out and about due to no money

been going to alniters this year to get used to the type of music being played,

and i got my first main room spot at rugby in november!!

Agreed, great DJ, I nearly said Pete yesterday but he comes in the 'made it' catagory rather than breaking through.. he's been DJ'ing for ages...hundred's of years in fact!. Although we are talking about breaking on to niter scene I suppose

and I tend to hear him at soul nights.. DJ'd at Bury several times cos 'he's dead good (despite being a wanderers fan)..

Thanks for the kind words, Reg, but I think my sometimes abrasive personality had led to me falling out with practically everyone who runs a rare soul night in the UK and much of continental Europe. Currently taking bookings for 2009 in the former Soviet Republics and maybe leftist Latin America...

can't really speak for ..fred or cliff.....but two of the most honest fellas you could meet.They buy records cause they love the music,djing just seems to be secondary to em as it does to a lot of vinylistas.I would add if a wider audience want to hear em, go to the venue they dj at....now that ain't hard is it now ......can't be doing with some of the dj's who seem to be djing from lands end to john agroats as if it's important to be SEEN.....all the best tezza

I'll second the Karl Heard vote, what a DJ! Also Pete Robinson of Marrs Bar/Tommy Cooper fame isn't heard enough-he's got some fooking awesome records!

But what happend to John Venn ? I remember him from the Whitchurch Civic Center late 70's uesd to think he was a good DJ that needed more play time than he got i think he was a mate of Mick Holdsworth or was it Mick Derry ? two more fine DJ's from back then i'd like to see behind the decks.
