There's some wild folk live in them places Particularly Darlo Harveys now called Monacos, but same place really. Never been for a night out round the bars of Bishop for years. The Tempest Posted April 5, 2009 Share Posted April 5, 2009 In the last recession as a retail manager , late 80's was working for a major high st retail chain , we were all summonsed , six managers ,to the flagship store in london and given one month to prove ourselves , the winner being in charge of the store and five without a job ! Unfortunately for me I had just finished my " Stafford " period and moved to London to " sort myself out " , falling monthly into the arms of the 100 Club !!! My new boss was a hardnosed power exec from Leeds who'd been sent down to sort us out and was a major twat !!!! After working a 16 hr day one saturday in the sales period he offered to give me a lift home , as I collapsed into his porchse passenger seat he pressed play on the cassette ! Out blasted The Dynamics - Yes I Love You Baby I was gobsmacked , wheel / casino / torch / mecca /regular and we were best mates for 3 weeks , talking about records , nighters , etc , Then he sacked me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
