  1. Yep. How good is that?
  2. It is funny how how we like or dislike stuff, I put Eddie Parker 'I'm Gone' in the same vein as Larry Clinton, just a wall of noise to my ears !! I know they're both revered, but both leave me cold. I've only just heard the John Harris and the Soul Sayers for the first time today, how good is that? It's a long time since a 60's track has grabbed my attention, like that has. Pete
  3. Searling used to play it definitely, think it was a Sam play first??? I'm afraid it does nothing for me, never has done. Pete
  4. Casanova was definitely Sam

  6. I really hope the remix of 'I Need Your Loving' makes it onto a CD or is available for download or even a proper 7 vinyl release, why they've released it on a Flexidisc is beyond me! Its a great mix

RIP Donald https://youtu.be/Jcjv4ZjeBQY A musical genius, so ahead of his time, the 'Places and Spaces' album is one of my desert island albums. Wind Parade is in my alltime top 10 tracks, pure genius.

  13. Really? I'd have thought this would fill any floor anywhere. First few bars used to have people running for the dance floor
  14. Didn't this get a release on the Oakland Zone 2003 album, or is it a different take ?
  15. Hi Mark, hope you're well mate. Is it time for the Paul Philips tale of the King Tutt 12" ? Cheers Pete
  16. Got to disagree with you there Ian, 45 seconds into Body Music, the word 'YOWSAH' can clearly be heard. In my world, that makes it Disco :-)
  17. Check out- The Strikers- Inch By Inch or Body Music Unlimited Touch- Searching To Find The One Proper Disco :-)
  18. If the ones close due to lack of support, doesn't it just prove that the punters don't care what format they dance to?
  19. I'm with you on this Jocko, weak and wishy washy. I do however think the best thing they did was the cover version of 'Native New Yorker'
  20. I've got the 'Jump Start 1 + 2' both well worth a punt, if you like your uptempo and jazzy stuff.
  21. It was released in a picture sleeve on a 7", from memory she was looking really good on the pic. It shouldn't be a hard one to pick up. It sounds a bit 'sweet and sickly' to my ears now!
  22. A Searling play as a new release, late days of Wigan
